re: What's the most number of times you've seen one show?
 Aug 26 2008, 11:45:05 AM
I saw Wicked and Curtains four each, I think... Three to Legally Blonde and Gypsy, and only one or two to the others.

Er... yes, that's lovely.
re: What character stands out the most in Broadway Shows?

Bambi in CURTAINS
Ilse in SPRING AWAKENING
Madame Giry in PHANTOM

re: Am I the only one who thinks Angela Lansbury

'fraid so, dear. I like Angela Lansbury- and I think her voice is lovely, as well.

Thank you ,Wexy!

Jason Danieley

Does Orfeh count?

Haha, yes, that was the general idea. Good guess!

I'm not calling myself a writer :) I'm just a student with an idea- I'm not aiming to sell my work or even really share it with anyone else.

Thank you, everyone!

Oh... I'm very sorry that I've upset you! I'm trying to write a book, I just felt so pretentious saying as much.Thank you for the link!
New York in the 80's
 May 25 2008, 12:52:01 PM
Okay, so... I'm writing this thing, and it's set in NYC in 1984. The problem is that I don't know much about the 80's- does anyone have any basic information? Google isn't helping much.
re: character in a musical you most relate to...
 May 25 2008, 12:16:10 PM
Ooh, this is hard! I guess it's a tie between Galinda and Elle Woods. Definitely a character with lots of pink. Actually, it's mostly Galinda- especially in Act 1.

Eeek. I heard the new 'Age of Aquarius' on Sirius 77 a couple of weeks ago. It was... disturbing to say the least. I didn't know that they remixed songs when they revived shows!
re: Current Favorite Song from a Show?

I have 'Don't Do Sadness' caught in my head too!

re: What is your LEAST favorite musical ever?
 May 20 2008, 05:41:18 PM
Spring Awakening

I was SO sure I was going to love it, too.

Favorite Moments
 May 18 2008, 12:48:40 AM
LEGALLY BLONDE - In the song 'Positive', one of the sorority sisters says, "You off the hizzle, G!" and LBB responds really quickly, "Uh, what?"

WICKED - In the 'Popular' recording, there's a very strange, almost terrifying Galinda-giggle that always makes be laugh.

re: Most powerful (just powerful, no love here) Broadway song.
 May 18 2008, 12:15:57 AM
"Music of the Night" - Phantom of the Opera

I really can't think of that many that haven't be said.

re: Renee Elise Goldsberry to be final Mimi in RENT
 May 15 2008, 08:12:56 PM
Ugh, I didn't care for Tamyra. She seemed too grown-up to be Mimi- too mature, I guess?
re: Is the Cry-Baby ad supposed to evoke a bag of Lay's Potato Chips?
 May 15 2008, 08:11:27 PM
Yeah, I definitely see the Fritos thing... It's odd that they would choose a logo that looks so similar to something so completely unrelated.
re: Les Liasons Dangereuses or Gypsy?
 May 12 2008, 11:58:42 PM
Oh... wow!
Okay, that settles it for Gypsy.
Thanks very much, everyone!
