re: Phantom VIP Help Please
 Mar 6 2008, 02:26:59 AM
When I tried to see Anthony, I went to Brent Barett's website to see his performance schedule and just chose opposite performances (not that I don't love Brent, but we'd seen him twice and I wanted to see Anthony next). http://www.brentbarrett.com/ I don't think Anthony has a site with his performance schedule, unfortunately. At least, I am not aware of it. I just went to Brent's site and he only has his performances listed through March, but I'm sure if you keep an eye on it, it should update soon.

The only catch to this would be what happened to me once. We chose opposite and ended up seeing the understudy, Michael Lackey as the Phantom. I know a lot of people hate seeing understudies, but he actually was AMAZING! If he got to play the role more, I would totally see him again.

I'm sorry the Phantom official site and the box office are no help. I hope this helps you even a little bit! Good luck!

I hope it comes to Los Angeles! I just assumed it would. I hope I don't have to drive down to San Diego to see it.
re: Little Mermaid OBCR - early release at theatre?

Argh! I pre-ordered this back in Denver and have been eagerly awaiting it! Has anyone who bought it in Denver gotten it yet? I'm a little irritated that they're selling it in the theater now even though I bought it months ago. I think that's a little unfair!

I agree that it's definitely not JJ. Other than that, I'd just be guessing.

I loved the "mute girl in a bikini" line! LOL!

I just assumed it was Cody. I didn't even know there were new Flounders.

In Sean's defense, Her Voice was MUCH more powerful live. I actually really liked it.

Kate2, have you tried the iTunes method? That was the only way I could get it to work.

She's in Love was a fun scene. I saw in in Denver though, so who knows if it changed.

That is Cody. He's good, but I think I prefer JJ. He was so good in this scene!

You are my hero, FlyingMonkey!!! Thank you!

If anyone else is still trying, open iTunes, go to the advanced menu and type in the address he listed.

Possible 'Little Mermaid' OBCR Cover Art and Release Date
 Nov 4 2007, 01:59:10 AM
I preordered it in Denver and was told I'd receive it in the Fall. I just got a postcard from Disney Theatrical Merchandise though that says:
"Due to unexpected delays, the anticipated release date of the Broadway Cast Recording of The Little Mermaid is now January '08. Please allow 4-6 weeks for shipping."

I was bummed, understandably. I hope it doesn't take longer than that.

re: The Official THE LITTLE MERMAID First Preview Reviews Thread

I got to see the preview run in Denver, so I'm wondering what has changed. I actually really liked the show. All the new music was great and I liked the simplicity of the sets. I have a friend who adamently disagrees with my view though.

You said there wasn't a 'Wow' moment, but I thought the scene where Ariel saves Eric was that. I thought it was such a beautiful scene! Has it changed?

I'm sorry to hear they didn't change Flounder's costume. I was hoping they would.
