re: what do bway actors do whent hey need to go to the bathroom?

I've never really thought about this... But, in most cases I'd have to agree with alex2155, they go like the audiences go. Before the show, during intermission, and after the show.
re: Books about Broadway...

I just recently read "What Would Barbra Do?" by Emma Brockes. It was entertaining, but I thought the author had a rather narrow view of musical theatre (she only likes the classics), and she tends to talk about the film versions more than the stage. It was a fun read though. I'll have to check out some of the ones listed here.

Have you read the book yet? I've been debating whether or not to buy it.

Saw the film for the first time tonight! I loved it!
re: Johnny Depp sings some more

He sounds good, but very different than I'm used to a Sweeney sounding. That's not a bad thing, but we'll see how it all comes together. I love Depp as an actor, so at least the talent is there!
re: Rent vs. Spring Awakening

They are so different, it's hard to compare. I've never actually seen Spring Awakening live, so I'd choose to see that if I had the choice. But yeah, as for comparisons... It would be difficult to give a definitive answer on that.

This whole thing is going on a longer than I expected. Hopefully there won't be any more shows that close, if Grinch is in fact gone for good.
