Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 11/2/25 Nov 4

Did Brody Grant actually pull in audiences for The Outsiders? Did he have that kind of name recognition and following, that would result in a drop at the box office when he left the cast?

Cats: The Jellicle Ball to Broadway Oct 9

What is the name of the fabulous performer in front here? If she's not in the cast I will be disappointed.
ETA: I believe that's Dava Huesca, and it's great to see she's listed to return.

Kristin Chenoweth and recent events Sep 12
2025, 09:10:23 AM
Wait, I'm confused. Kristin Chenoweth has expressed "appreciation" of some of the views Charlie Kirk represented, while "disagreeing" with some of them. And then expressed confidence that he is now in heaven.
Isn't confidence that someone is in heaven for religious Christians saying you think they were essentially good people? Seems like we've seen so much dangerous and hateful rhetoric from him, it's not easy to understand someone saying th

FLOYD COLLINS Reviews Jun 22
2025, 04:40:59 PM
I saw this production (and the show) for the first time at yesterday's matinee. I now appreciate what an extraordinary score it has, and was deeply impressed by Jeremy Jordan and the entire cast. I understand some of the problems others have described in the production. I also think as a whole, it's an imperfect piece, but I honestly found it more powerful and beautiful than I'd expected. It's a hard moment right now to sit through a tragic story of a person being excruci

I have been unable to locate a video of Tony Kushner's comments, which were lovely, and to my surprise included recommendations for reviving A Catered Affair, and Casa Valentina. Anyone aware of public access to a video online of this?

DEATH BECOMES HER Reviews Jun 7
2025, 11:07:28 AM
I 100% understand that it's none of our business - AND I can't help but be very curious about why there seems to be unusually frequent absences of the leads in Death Becomes Her. It's a factor in my having not booked a ticket for it myself.

Havethere been explicit indications of his specifically demonstratingMAGA affiliations? I know he's been "out" as a right-winger for a long time. To be clear, I'm not interested in spending my limited theater-going dollars on his work, but I hadn't heard of his MAGA affiliations."
He has expressly and consistentlysupported Trump (even describing him as the best president since Lincoln), been wishy-washy on whether he thinks the 2020 election was legitimate, and supported things like Florida’s Don’t Say Gay bill."
Wow. Just, wow. Doesn't it seem like this has all been under-reported?

Brendan Fraser and Brian J. Smith to star in Samuel D. Hunter’s GRANGEVILLE at Signature Theatre Jan 9
2025, 03:12:07 PM
I was interested by Brendan Fraser being cast in this, but my primary interest in seeing it is to see a new Samuel D. Hunter play. My excitement about seeing Brendan Fraser live wasn't that high, really, I guess. My hunch is that Paul Sparks may be a strong, if less market-friendly, replacement.

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 12/22/24 Dec 24
2024, 06:00:12 PM
I know that historically, the week from Christmas through New Year's Day has been one of the highest-grossing of the year on Broadway. How might that play out with Christmas and New Year's Day on Wednesdays of two different weeks. Will they both be "boffo," or each have good, but not spectacular business?
Looking at the grosses from last week, it is fun to see Maybe Happy Ending getting stronger every week...
