Should I wait until after previews to send in my Addams Family Playbill?
 Mar 30 2010, 06:52:12 PM
And to address the the first part of your question: what earthly difference could it make when you send it?? The letter carrier brings mail to the theater EVERY day.

1. That article is from over a year ago.
2. It was for a workshop, 2 performance gig.
3. Workshop casts are not committed in any way to keep on with the show.
4. Unless you find anything more current: I would suggest it might be dead in the water.

1. Glad to hear the Bolt Bus went well. Already have it booked for a few trips.

2. Thanks to your great reveiw, I am more torn than ever about an upcoming choice! Argh.

re: 'HAIR' Cast Question
 May 27 2008, 11:48:16 AM
That seems to be the $10,000 question: one to which no one seems to know the anwswer, yet we are all impatiently waiting for the answer.

(Olivio will not be doing it, last I heard.)

re: Goodbye, Jonathan & Lea!

Kyle is suppose to start Friday night. (Last I heard)

Supposedly, Shingledecker can't go on for Melchi until his hair grows in more. It's still pretty short.

August should see some Matt Doyle as Melchi action to cover the gap between Kyle and Hunter Parrish. (But not exclusively.)

"Dramarama611 is a name thief."

Except that it's DramaMama...not dramaRama

re: Bee Gee's Musical...ugh!
 May 16 2008, 11:46:27 AM
And how many of us were rolling our eyes at the thought of "Shrek the Musical"? Then we got wind of the creative team, the actors signing on and interesting thoughts on the advance viewing: that got some of us interested.

Wait and see is great, but I understant the op's thought.

re: Best South Pacific Seating
 May 14 2008, 12:05:25 PM
I was in Row B of the loge at C...it was actually a fabulous seat. I could see everything.

I also feel that SP was so impeccably staged that there isn't a bad seat int the house.

Previous committment. Pre arranged. He's allowed.
re: Was It Spinach? (Response is voluntary)

I must ask:

WHY??? There has to be a reason: even for the FanGirls to do something so ridiculous!

Thanks for any background!

(I could not resist opening a thread with this title.)

re: Spring Awakening Equity Call
 May 1 2008, 10:53:28 AM
What's the worse that could happen...they don't see you again?

A few of the OBC said they auditioned several times before they got called back.

I say: go for it!

re: Spring Awakening Equity Call
 May 1 2008, 10:34:20 AM
Much of the tour has been cast from open auditions. I believe they are continuing to look for more replacements for the b'way cast as the remaining OC begins to leave.

2 or 3 new ensemble members (one that started tuesdsay --Matt Shingledecker) were all cast through the open call/video submissions.

I have to admit that until hearing this I was definitely a nay-sayer. But these comments have indeed raised my interest.

THanks for the info.

re: KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN to arrive on Broadway in the Fall
 May 1 2008, 09:51:34 AM
I've never read the play, but am curious to hear more about it and the casting.

I loved both the movie and musical...I'd see a straight play version.

Yeah, I've always taken her as a relatively "american-ized" non-ethnic character.

TOGETHER I think the pair could work.

What a great idea...I'll have to make a playlist too!

BOL and Totally F@@ked work well from Spring Awakening
Wash that man from South Pacific
Nothing Like a Dame South Pacific
Cop Song from Urinetown

I wish I had my MP3 player with me!

"Any thoughts on how he's achieved such a good and healthy balance? - Good to his fans, always pleasant and open, but still very private and dignified."

I think MOST actors IF THEY CHOOSE to can lead a relatively quiet life. They don't lead a lifestyle that begs to be monitored or is embarrasing. If he started bar hopping and getting pulled over for drunk driving (etc, etc) the press/papparazzi would be all over him too!

That being said: isn't it nice to find a star that

re: Gray Gardens vs. Spring Awakening
 Apr 29 2008, 12:07:15 PM
If the only reason SA is a great show is because of hot, naked peeps...you SO missed the boat on it. (and yes, I am embarrassed to admit to liking the show based on many of the fan base)

Grey Gardens was a sad and moving show that depicting a real tragedy/true event. That you can't see the value in something fully clothed is sad. It was beautiful.
