Watching the TONY Awards Online...

Jun 10, 2011 — 7:01:54 PM

Is there any place online where it will be streaming live? The TONY site only mentions live streaming of the red carpet, and I may not have access to a tv...
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC'S Reopening Tonight

Jul 21, 2010 — 12:21:05 AM

I had an actual seat, and there were two empty seats next to me (in the mezzanine). I don't think there was a teleprompter or an earpiece, because I definitely heard a disembodied voice.

Angelplays is right- it was the scene about illusions. Stritch said something like, "Tell me about [whatever it was]", there was an awkward silence, after which Keaton began to say her line, then Stritch went, "No, no, let me tell YOU," or something like that, then the scene continued.

A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC'S Reopening Tonight

I got a student rush ticket tonight at 6:50 pm for a 7 pm show, and I believe there were at least two more tickets left. I was shocked, but very happy, of course. I don't know whether that's normal, however.

I loved the show. I went in being completely unfamiliar with the show, except for "Send in the Clowns" and "The Miller's Son," so I didn't really know what to expect. Peters was breathtaking. Stritch had a bit of trouble with two lines in "Liaisons"...which is understandable, consid

re: How do you show a person drowning on stage?

Oct 24, 2009 — 8:52:39 PM

There is a drowning scene in the play "The Ballad of Yachiyo" by Philip Kan Gotanda. He describes how the drowning should look in the script- basically it is depicted with the lighting and the actor making drowning motions, whatever that means. But, if you're interested, check out the play. The scene is at the very end.

I'm not sure if this has already been posted, and I hope it is okay to post (if not, I'm sorry!), but these are hilarious. Even if you're not a huge Miranda fan, check these out.

re: Alice Ripley out of N2N tonight..

I saw Jessica tonight, and I thought she was fantastic. I'd never seen the show, and was disappointed to find that Ripley was out, but I loved the show, and Jessica's performance did not disappoint.
