TWO STRANGERS (CARRY A CAKE ACROSS NEW YORK) Reviews May 13 2026, 08:23:34 AM

Obviously, you place more on sets and bombast than others do -- and that's OK. But you also have to accept that many, many others place more import on a well-written book, solid songwriting, and a cohesive whole than just ...sets. That's not the "downfall of theatre", it's personal taste (which may not be aligned with your own.)"

Kristin Chenoweth We Appreciate YOU May 13 2026, 07:22:29 AM

This article is interesting. It is my belief that this was in fact a great show and the only reason it closed was because Kristen Chenoweth was a victim of cancel culture. Kristen Chenoweth is one of the greatest performers to ever grace the stage and to go through all those months with people on this thread saying awful things about her it’s disgusting. It’s why theBroadway Community is so toxic. One minute they love you the next they treat you like a rat in the gutter.
I remember sitting there at Queen of Versailles and admiring the strength of this living legend to be giving such a great performance despite all the mean things people are saying about her all the criticism and she still shows up every day and performs. Truly one of the highlights of my year. No one does it like Chenoweth.
I know she has plenty of critics, but for those of us who still admire her for what she is—a living Broadway legend—maybe it’s time to show some gratitude for everything she’s given to the stage. Instead of tearing her down, why not appreciate the legacy she’s built and imagine what incredible roles she could still take on if she chose to return to Broadway? And honestly, if she decided not to, who could blame her after the way she’s been treated? For those who were so quick to be cruel, maybe an apology is long overdue.

Sure thing, Flash.

Probably the most boring musical I have ever seen. Some of the songs were good, but the set was a bore, and the cast consisting of only TWO PEOPLE made the story hard to follow and rather dull. Lost Boys and Schmigadoon w

I also agree that the Lost Boys is showing a lot of what made The Outsiders win and that is BUZZ. The Word of Mouth and Energy behind this production cannot be underestimated. The energy in that Theatre for Lost Boys was insane it just has Best Musical Energy. While, Two Strangers half the m

Broadway's Most Bankable Star? May 6 2026, 05:48:32 PM

I don’t care how “bankable” Jackman might be. If she’s singing at a Rupert Murdoch event, she’s not somebody I’ll ever pay to see again.

Yeah, we understand the way the business works. Many of us much better than you. People losing their jobs deserve empathy, not cruelty. You talk about these situations like the people involved are disposable.

Oh don’t get me wrong. I would never buy a ticket for this either. I just don’t see what the problem is that it exists.
