I’m thinking about going to see this. I have hated almost every critically acclaimed show that has opened this season. Maybe I’ll be into a giant spectacle. 

Act one is an hour and forty five minutes. Various boring conversations between the characters add nothing to narrative. The double conversations taking place at the same time is right out of playwriting writing 101. Nevertheles, this thing scored 13 Tony nominations, so I clearly know nothing. Whatever. 

Does anyone dislike this thing or is just total love? I recently saw it and my opinion definitely does not match the raves posted here or from the critics. 

The music was great but this bloated piece of crap did not deserve 13 Tony nominations. So many parts of this could have been edited to make a tighter script but as it stands, it is a massive mess. And before the usual attacks come, I am well aware that I am in the minority in thinking this.

Did anyone see the production in Boston at A.R.T. in 2010 when the Emcee was played by Amanda Palmer and Fraulein Schneider was played by a man in drag?

That is a solid respectable review and it just sold at least one ticket (mine).
