I always love McDonagh...so why wasn't I blown away by Behanding last night?
 Feb 27 2010, 12:32:19 AM
I went this week and loved it. Not nearly as dark as The Pillowman but extremely funny nontheless. Walken was hilarious, as was Sam Rockwell. To be honest I think the whole cast did a sterling job, and Walken's phone conversations are of sheer brilliance.

As Christopher Walken is of god like status in my list of fave movies, I was stoked to get a picture and autograph afterwards. All barring Mr. Rockwell were so gracious in spending time with the crowds afterwards. Speaking to othe

I found it relatively easy to get a the playbill signed after the show, i also requested a signed playbill which I mailed an SAE to the SD, which came after less than a week, so my wife has one and I gave one away.
who have you gotten stuff back from?

So I sent a SAE to A Steady Rain, with a letter and today I received the opening night playbill and signed by both Jackman and Craig. Quite a nice keepsake, especially to go with the playbill that we got signed when we went to see the play. It was a pleasant surprise to get the opening night colour one though, as its being sold for ten bucks or so on playbill.com!

In England, it is (or should be!) a criminal offense to not knowing anythig about Star Wars! Well, the 3 original movies anyway.

Well, we may give it a go, after Lynnespock2's statement. Thinking about it, I really dont know how Fisher could be compared with Griffin. One is an obnoxious foul mouthed fame hungry fool, and the other lady was in Star wars. Nuff Said!

The behavior of some of the Autograph Hounds is absolutely HORRENDOUS

I know Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber has an opinion on this - he told me on the phone while I was at A Steady Rain the other day, although I didn quite catch all of what he said - cos Hugh Jackman kept shouting.

This show appealed to me until a comparison to Kathy Griffin was made. I cannot stand that woman, so I doubt I'll be parting with any cash for this. Thanks for the heads up!

Playbill question

Does anyone have, or know how to get hold of The Boy from Oz playbill or souvenir programme?

I am of course willing to pay and would be grateful for any advice.

when you got your signed playbill from jackman and craig, did you address the envelope to the actor(s) themselves or the stage manager?

did it take long to get it returned to you?

Wow, a complete solution, followed by the moon on a stick!

Be careful with that candle..

Lets hope the candle burns brightly then eh, chap?!

Lets just jope that there are no injuries for the duration of the run, as it stands, it could only be a matter of time.

I re-iterrate, I agree noone is entitled to anything, but there should be an issue of public safety too. Why should it have to be dangerous to stand in line - for want of better words, and patiently wait for an autograph. Im 6ft 2 and fairly well built, so in a crush i have an advantage over smaller people o

Manners cost nothing, well, thats how I was raised.

In my book, if someone has the inability to use them in a general conversation, it shows them up to be the mug that they really are.

If its ridiculous, why comment on it? Its a democracy, correct? So if people feel aggrieved regarding issues with the theatre, are they not entitled to say so? Personally I dont think I used the word horrendous - that would be far too kind for the sd management.

As for th

Yeah, he really annoyed me as he was rude to others, as I think I mentioned about a million times - even when I think about it lol. If Im rude to the public in my line of work ( media) I would lose my job.

Still, such is life!

Having seen the chaos at the theatre, Ive not seen anything like it since The Beatles at the Shea! Actually, Im from England, and that was before my time so that is by the bye!

But I do know what you're on about rocks, you would like to have something signed by the actors. Period. You dont have to explain yourself any further. You will always get the 'holier than thou' who look down on you in all walks of like - in this instance, for wanting 2 autographs.
Ive said a similar thin

Its a free country - each to their own. Some people collect stamps - some collect autographs.

I dont think anyone is complaining about NOT getting an autograph, its just the way that the system, or lack thereof, at the SD of the Schoenfeld is managed. Simple.

I have to agree, the sd is organised chaos. The fella with the beard, who appears to be some sort or manager - and I use that term loosely - is one of the rudest people Ive had the displeasure of meeting. Upon asking him a polite question on behalf of my wife - he continued to answer it as he was closing / slamming the sd. Even then it was a half cocked answer. He even said he cant understand why people wait around for autographs. Granted some want to make money, but some people collect as
