Avenue Q - really$5?

I was just browsing thru playbill.com - looking for my wife and I to perhaps take in a show on Friday. When I saw an ad aof Avenue Q, and i quote

is this really an offer for $5 or is it a tpo on their behalf?! Ive wanted to see it for some time now, but not really too willing to pay full price. for 5 bucks i'll see it thrice!!

So over the coming days if not Avenue Q we may see Mamma Mia (again), Oleanna, or Bye Bye Birdie - especially as Ive been a fan of Gina Gershon for a number of years!

I have a feeling it is $55. Why didn't you just check the ticket search function?

According to the website, it's a general rush.

"AVENUE Q sells a limited number of general rush tickets for each performance. These tickets will be available on the day of the performance for $26.50 per ticket."

Awesome that they are doing rush...I'd love to take my mom to see the show as she missed it on Broadway.
