Theater district restaurant suggestions?

I highly recommend Spoonfed on W. 51st. They have a connection to the theater world and serve really great Southern cooking. http://www.spoonfednyc.com/ "At the suggestion of his co-workers, Randy would prepare individual meals and leave them at various theaters to cater to Broadway shows on two-show days. He relied on the 'honor system,' and folks would pay cash or put in an I.O.U. Soon, his husband, Mark and he were catering for theatrical, as well as non-Broadway, events."

They don't normally offer rush tickets on Wednesday matinees, but they do offer SRO most Wednesday performances. If you want a seat you may want to try your luck on TKTS.

I was really looking forward to Betsy going in to the show and to be honest, I wasn’t all that impressed with her performance. She is a wonderful actress, just not right for this role. There is a grit and authenticity that both Jessie and Sara brought to the role. Betsy was too perfect and her voice is perky - which does not help sell the idea that she is in an unhappy marriage.

@bandisepic It really depends. I walk by the theater on my way to work and normally there are only one or two people on line. That's around 8:45/9. Good luck!

Abby is a great Carole King! I have seen her twice on Broadway and she brings something new to the performance every time. She really does give it her all. I took my mom to see Beautiful and she absolutely loved it. A Bronx Tale is fun, but I think Beautiful is better suited for "take your mom to a show" kind of night.(PS- Rush for Beautiful is only $40 and most of the time the seats are in the orchestra)

Went today. Box office lady yelled at everyone for lining up acting like we were idiots for wanting to rush a show. Their social media is not correct, they are not offering rush tickets.
