Not as energetic or star-making as the ‘93 version but the music still soars and the choreography was good. It’s great to be back in NYC! I''m happy to report that the show cured my back!!! LOL!!! Not really, but thanks for asking!! I have to say that I did not suffer for once second and my back has been hurrtin' like a muthaf*cka!!! The lottery tickets were row O in the mezzanine .... VERY far away .... seats 9 & 11 (!!!) so on the side. My *date* was not happy being so far away. After entering every day for the last month, I finally won today (Part 1 tonight @ 7 p.m.) and out of haste, I quickly bought them. The thing is: my back is killing me and I don't think I'll make it through 4 hours in a theatre seat. If were I to buy them at the box office - can I "give" them away for the $78 I paid to someone else or do they handcuff me to the tickets once I pick them up tonight? Is anyone interested? Just got tickets to this after reading BB's stellar review only to come here and see your tepid reviews! Still looking forward to it - and for $30/ticket, it may be the cheapest show in town! Anyone else seen it lately? Can't believe I got tickets after anything gets a good review in the Times .....
