I love Bring It On! It was better than I expected and I love Taylor Louderman there so am hoping that I will be able to catch Mean Girls in Washington DC also when I am in the US.

Based on people's suggestions, The Band's Visit and Anastasia are the clear options for me. I have seen some videos of Katrina Lenk and she is really good so hopefully it will be worth it. 

I am also going to NYC for the first time this November with some friends who are not really into musicals/plays. Reading some of the messages above, I totally agree that it will be great too if I can go to shows alone since I don't have to compromise with the shows and price of the tickets. However, if you can find a friend with similar interests that will be great too.

I will be in NY first week of November. I think budget of around 150-200USD is reasonable. So Hamilton is obviously out of the question.

My first option was Dear Evan Hansen, but unfortunately tickets are already sold out for first week of November.

I like In the Heights and Next to Normal, so anything like those is also good.
