I too wondered if they would use the reprise from the last revival or "Cinderella, Darling" to open the second act. I assume they will use "Cinderella," since it is an anniversary production.
I must defend the score too. Songs are written to help advance the story - these songs all do that. I don't think there is a bad song among the bunch. I have also been in the show - played Frump - but it is not all easy to sing.
So, last Tuesday I was walking by the Foxwoods and the stage doors were open. I asked if I could peek in and they said yes....so I did. You can see the backdrop in my pic. They were testing a giant Spider-Man that comes from the proscenium.
Just returned from a 7-day trip to the city and here are my thoughts - not that you all care - but wanted to share anyway.
THE FANTASTICKS - Something about this show still works for me on every level. It is funny, beautiful music and it still moves me. We saw Matt Leisy go on as Matt and he was very good. Everyone should go see this show. Plus we witnessed a marriage proposal at the end of curtain call.

I am coming into the city for a week in August (16-23) and plan on seeing 10 shows while I am there. I already have tickets for The 39 Steps, Next to Normal and The Fantasticks. What does everyone think are the three must see shows?
