Verge Cast Recording Update? Dec 18 2010, 09:10:53 PM
Would it be possible to petition for this kind of thing? It's a lot of money, but after seeing that Facebook group get Betty White on SNL I think you can practically accomplish anything. Especially a show that will be mentioned often whenever a show has complicated sets or shaky preview weeks. Boy would I love to hear the songs for myself! (That 9 minute BWW video was not sufficient!!)

Yes that makes sense. And as for N2N- they've done a pretty good job, regardless of what happened in their back stories, thanks for the example!

Playwright's Character Revisions- Into the Woods Oct 7 2010, 05:57:13 PM
Hello, Didn't quite know how to word the title, but my main question is about whether or not playwrights in interview or article give their characters more of a back story than in the script. I performed the 'rap' in class and had to make up a background for her, which troubled me because I knew that she had a more mysterious and magical past than I could give her. What is the most well known musical of all time? Aug 26 2010, 03:07:40 AM
I agree with most of the ones up above (save Sweeney), and the same thing happened with watching WSS in school this year. I'd like to add (although not quite a direct answer) the instrumental/karaoke versions of "There's No Business Like Show Business" and the overture for Gypsy (specifically "Rose's Turn" and "Everything's Coming up Roses"). I swear I hear those at every party/dance/show based on the slo

The Early Days of the BWW Board: Any Info?? Aug 16 2010, 02:02:02 AM
For about a year and some. Sadly it was because of Wicked (cue thunderclaps), and although I still like that show, there's so much more. Higher quality/deeper too.

The Early Days of the BWW Board: Any Info?? Aug 15 2010, 11:40:39 PM
Hello all, All the messages of lurking and reluctance to post has finally given me the boost to post something. It's nothing opinionated (thank God, I doubt I can take much heat. You dish what you can take for sure!), just a introduction. I look forward to learning more about past shows, "behind the scenes of Broadway" so to speak, and whether or not my thought disliking Merman are misguided. (probably). Thanks for being what I read is a welcoming board full of hilarious buzz.
