Ugh I am not sure I have the $ to get 2 tickets to Downstate and this on Thursday, but feel like this will be the cheapest opportunity with this cast so may have to find a way

From what I recall, the "everyone is silent!" thing is kind of a gimmick that the play undercuts at every opportunity with a lot of nonverbal communication like mouthed words and wild gesturing.

really bummed by this cast announcement, because this is a play id love to see with no-name actors, and now it will be a sold out capitalist orgy over there, so ill probably miss it.

i know we are supposed to whine about rudin once a day or forever have our acceptable liberal card revoked, but its quite genius/ballsy of him to pair Downstate with this juggernaut. He knows hes got a sold out celebrity spectacle on his hands, and hes using that to get butts in seats at Downstate, the little show that will surely struggle. He may be a monster, but hes no dummy.

The big names are fine with me but isn't this a play that should be done in a small theater? I mean almost no dialogue and facial expressions so much will get lost.

I paid $55 for the orchestra row Q. It was very reasonably priced during presale.
