Gotta love anything from "Songs for a New World" especially "Christmas Lullaby" and "Flagmaker, 1776". You should also take a look at Kristin's song from "Steel Pier" (Can't remember the name right now). Also, "You were meant for Me" from Audra's CD.

Definitely a huge fan of King David (who isn't?!?), but I'm going to have to go with Newsies! With Hercules and LSOH vying for second! Menken's the only redeeming thing about recent Disney stuff.

16 Measure Audition

Okay, well, I have a dilemma. I have an audition coming up in February that calls for two 16-measure audition pieces. One upbeat, one ballad. I am a mezzo, but I often enjoy singing alto and/or 1st soprano. I have a very strong voice, but I don't know how to showcase it in 16 measures. Can anyone help me with some song suggestions?? I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!
