Upcoming Waitress cast replacements?
 Dec 9 2018, 04:06:55 PM

Waitress has definitely been an interesting show to follow casting wise, and we've seen a fair share of Dr. Pomatter's and Jenna's. I think that after Sara and Gavin's run, it would be for the best if the show were to close since it seems the only way they've been able to keep running is by casting big names. I'm really excited to see how Gavin does as Dr. Pomatter; I've been thinking about this ever since he previewed some songs with Sara in 2015! Interested

Stagedoor

Before I read any other replies, I would like to share my views based on what I've witnessed (and done) personally. It is now evident that there is a much younger audience in the Theatre community. Along with their diffusion into the community, they have brought along new obsessions and "culture" if that's how you want to put it. What I have noticed is that many of the people associated with this new wave of fans have come from other fandoms where there are other expectation

16y/o Jimmy Award Winner is Bway's Next Evan Hansen
 Nov 12 2018, 12:25:59 PM

Wow, this is amazing! What a great opportunity for him! I had watched his winning performance from the Jimmy's, and he's extremely talented! On the off chance that he checks these chat boards, I wish you the best of luck with your run, Andrew! Stay healthy, have fun, and break a leg (along with your perpetual broken arm)!

Wow, I love that! Would love to see Mike Faist in this, and another musical from Pasek and Paul!!

Any other ideas?

Films/TV Shows to be Adapted to the Stage
 Nov 9 2018, 09:00:12 PM

For this post, I was inspired by an assignment I have just received in my Theatre class.

So, we all know that there are a select few films that have been adapted to the stage, but some have only been tryouts and never made it to Broadway, or even Off-Broadway. What films (or even TV shows) would you like to see on the stage? I'd also love to hear some dream casts, dream composers, and ideas for the set design, lighting, costuming, etc.! For example, I know there has been a junior v

Best/worst stage door experience?
 Oct 28 2018, 05:36:45 PM

Mayar2132 said: Jessica wasn't there and Amanda came out but I had to leave Also- I heard that Ryan is a hit or miss. The security said he probably wasn't coming out, and when he did- I FLIPPED! Seriously one of the nicest people I've met stage dooring and actually talked to the people and didn't rush anything. I hope you get to meet him, he's wonderful!

Awww thank you! That's so great how Ryan was able to stage door and you got to meet him; I hope I have a good experience as you did with Ryan! And I understand that Jessica probably feels so smothered sometimes because I know so many people are going to see her! Do you have any idea on why she couldn't make it the day you went?

P.S. I just realized your profile picture is you with Ryan! So cute!

Best/worst stage door experience?
 Oct 28 2018, 05:22:56 PM

Yikes, I'm seeing Wicked this Saturday... any tips?? I've heard that Ryan is incredibly charming and so interactive at stage door, but I would love to know how Jessica and Amanda are.

As for best and worst stage door experiences: usually since actors on tour don't think many people want to stage door so they all try to sneak out of there without signing playbills, and that isn't that case! Some cast members on tour would be really sweet and have conversations with

Wicked Movie Cast (rumors, dreamcasts, etc.)
 Oct 7 2018, 11:26:25 AM

Although I would love nothing more than to have a cast this spectacular in the movie, I know Hollywood is going to screw it up. They're going to cast big names who aren't as credible as they used to be just to drive up sales at the box office. That's just how Hollywood is.

Wicked - 15th Anniversary
 Sep 22 2018, 03:24:56 PM

There are a few topics/questions I had regarding Wicked and the cast around the 15th anniversary.

First of all, I have heard wonderful things about Jessica Vosk as Elphaba, and I know she is definitely a favorite of many! I am hoping to see Wicked around (not on the day of!) its 15th anniversary, does anyone have any insight/tips and how I should go about getting good tickets?

Also, I know that Ryan McCartan has stepped in for Fiyero, and I was w

Hercules Dream Cast
 Aug 29 2018, 11:56:05 AM

I recently watched an interview with Susan Egan, and she said she would love to see Krysta Rodriguez play Meg! I totally agree with Susan; Krysta has that edge and that deep, sultry voice that is perfect for Meg! Krysta is an amazing performer and I find her to be extremely captivating on stage; everything about her just screams Meg!

As for Hercules, I've seen a lot of Derek Klena's and honestly, I'm not mad at it. I've also seen N
