Happy 250th !!

From an outsider looking in, nothing to be proud of.
That’s not just America, I’m not sure any country has really learnt anything from prior history.

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

Ahhh... "People in glass houses..."

It's very clear to me that you, yourself haven't learned anything from our last conversation when I questioned your thinking re: American awareness, and how as "an outsider looking in" you are completely powerless to effect any change.

So... what's your point?

Hence the reason I added I don’t think any country and that would definitely include my own Australia. At least I can see that, which you seemed to have missed that point. Go put up some banners and sing America The Great. Cheers

We, as Americans, have a very difficult task in front of us.

Although you are entitled to your opinion, the very last thing I (speaking personally) need or want is the equivalent of an annoying gnat, obnoxiously buzzing around my face, expressing an opinion that has already been established as being completely ineffectual.

How are outsiders completely powerless to effect change?

Trump is an outsider of Iran, Venezuela, doesn't stop him interfering.

Oh, happy 250th. I guess.

You can still be proud of what this country has to offer, its values, freedoms, economy, innovation, opportunity, and still recognize its shortcomings. Dissent IS patriotism. We should all celebrate the oldest democracy in the world today. Happy 250th everyone!!

what kind of freedom is it when a medical bill could easily put people on the street?

more people should wake up and understand the performative "VoTiNg" is not "dEmOcRaCy", instead good governance IS - but considering how this country is run, i'm not surprised by the ignorance of the mass

At age 79, I am the youngest of five brothers, and the only one still living. We all served in the United States Military (Navy and Army) dating back to WWII. We offered up our lives in defense of a country we all loved, because this is a country worth fighting for. Recognizing that the United States has its faults, as is true for any country, I remain proud of my United States citizenship.

STAY STRONG AMERICA !!

I'm at a beach rn and wish i was in nyc seeing shows instead of seeing all the southern pride for the country and hearing fireworks. Or maybe Glasgow, MCR is playing tonight and it'd be pretty dope to see them again (before i actually see them again.)

I don't think there's anything wrong with being prideful over the place you live in, I just think people over do it every freaking year. Maybe it's just the fact I hate the sounds of fireworks and most loud noises, so thats the main reason I don't like fireworks, or the brach for that matter.

That's why i'm choosing to stay inside and watch the hamilton proshot to be patriotic this year, like I have the past six years.

Happy 250th, our gov still sucks

Who cares? It’s the 102nd birthday of Caesar salad, I haven’t celebrated this country at all in at least 20 years.

In the U.S.A.
You can have your say
You can set your goals
And seize the day
You've been given the freedom
To work your way
To the head of the line...

We had really wanted to be in NYC for the celebrations, especially the "Sail4th 250" parade of international ships. And, of course, the fireworks. But, the doctors don't think I'm yet "fit to fly" because of this cancer thingie. Ah, well. Can enjoy most of it from my tv here in So Cal. Next year, NYC ! (Sorry about the rain.)

These, slightly changed, lyrics rolled through my head yesterday and today while watching coverage of the 250th anniversary and celebrating Colorado's 150th....

Good times and bum times

We've seen them all, and my dears,

We're still here.

That is a truly hateful response. Even more hateful than a lot of what is written here. That poster's family served in WWII. Did you not understand that? His family members saved the world at that time. As did my family members. I had other family members in the Holocaust. American soldiers helped liberate them. And all you can say is "boomer". I debated whether I should respond --- but in the end in honor of my family and the OP, I had to say something. Again what a hateful response. Ageist, insensitive and perhaps no knowledge of American history......You should be ashamed. I think an apology is in order.
