Google it and you can see it was made by a 20 year old film student playing around with photoshop.

Shoshana Bean - O'Farrell Street

She's an extraordinary talent. If you watch her video about the making of this album, it'll give you more insight on the mood/period she was evoking for it. I hope people take to it, because it's definitely worth downloading. An amazing second album from Shoshana.

So why wasn't Patti in Les Miz on Bway?

I know that she covered this in her book, but am I the only one that thinks it could've just MAYBE been about money? It wouldn't put it past me that she asked for too much money and Cameron said no, so she uses the "experience" line as the reason why she didn't do it.

Call me jaded, but I don't buy her reason...at all.

Any signs of Love Never Dies in Toronto?

You're assuming that the show is on a guarantee and didn't go out as a 4-wall deal. If it's on a 4-wall deal, then the show IS losing money...

If the road grosses are any indication, the show is in trouble in most markets. To move that show from Toronto would be extremely costly, especially if it's doing well there (haven't seen the grosses...Mirvishes rarely report).

I was told the Mirvish team essentially "bought" the show and will operate it until they close it. At that point, it's anyone's guess.

I liked this show, but think people are overly optimistic to think that middle America is going to love a show about

Although technically it's the Tour, it was announced that the tour was basically closing after Toronto. The 2nd National Tour has absorbed the 1st National Tour's dates.

The production is Toronto will stay as long as it can play, and then close. Many of the Chicago company opened the show in Toronto, but I believe they will exit after 6 months or whenever their contracts expire (or stay if extended).

There were many articles about this back in December when it happened.

Wicked, The Lion King, and Spiderman Question

For the Wicked lottery, it's free to enter your name. You only pay if you win. You can get one or two tickets at $25.00/each. Sign up is 2.5 hours prior to curtain. They pull names right at 2 hours prior.
Ragtime - LA Company

I Have a Feeling! That's it! I couldn't remember the title but I can remember the tune. It was cut and the scene with Houdini and Nesbit in Act II was shorted and just had snippets from it in LA

The fireworks were in the Toronto production at the beginning of the run. They had to cut them early on because the smoke and haze they created after was causing the actors to lose their voices. I recall Marin and Audra both calling out because of the smoke.

Ragtime - LA Company

If memory serves, the biggest change was in Act II. From the concept album there is a song called The Showbiz. Another song was inserted in Toronto, but was cut significantly in LA (it could have been changed...not too sure).

The other big change was in He Wanted To Say....just some shortening of that song.

I didn't see it in LA, but from what I was told the show in LA was as close to the final NYC production.
