Hi,

I'll be visiting from there next week from Florida. What is the rush crowd like for these shows on the weekends?

WICKED is insane...no matter what day of the week but weekends are usually the busiest haha

LION KING is pretty busy too but I'm not sure to what extent

SPIDER-MAN might be less busy, but that depends on the influx of tourists haha

Lion King has rush?

Dean: Can I tell you something? Lorraine: That depends on what it is. Dean: I think you're really really pretty. Lorraine: (after a pause) Ok, you can tell me that.

Wicked has $25 Lottery front row- always packed
Lion King has NO rush, lottery, etc.
Spidey has $30 rush, pretty crowded too!

Don't even waste time trying for Wicked if you're in from out of town. I live here, I've played it 28 times now, and have only won once. And that's not even the worst statistic I've heard- many people have worse track records than that! It really is incredibly difficult.

Forgive me for my ignorance, but how does lottery work? Obviously the thing of a lottery is basically pulling names out of a hat, but do you have to pay anything upfront? Do you get it back?

West-End shows generally don't have lotteries, and i've certainly never played them, so...

For the Wicked lottery, it's free to enter your name. You only pay if you win. You can get one or two tickets at $25.00/each. Sign up is 2.5 hours prior to curtain. They pull names right at 2 hours prior.

Thanks :)

Is it roughly the same for most other B'Way shows?

Yes...the only things that vary: how much the tickets cost and how much before curtain they begin sign ups.

(I've never won a single lottery!)

Wicked's lotto tickets actually cost $26.25, cash only. A small difference, but important if someone was bringing exact change.

Another question...how is the view in the box seats in the flying circle?
