This show is as cheap as chips to run, the only cheaper show to run is maybe Strangers and Oh Mary. Good example this show has toured hard in every corner of the US, the show is small and can play non equity venues the 1/2 night sit down like Newport News or Peoria etc as a Equity tour.I wish I was one of the shows backers!

Arti and James spent 3 years developing the role of Paddington, for that very reason alone they deserve a shot at the Tony. Also Paddington is a very nuanced role and isn’t just putting a bear suit on, James and Arti would be great to bring on American actors for the role to take over.

I used to find the premise of the book to be unbelievable, bordering on preposterous that a revival meeting comes to town in small part of the US in a big top, meanwhile a young girl loses her mother only to discover that a man hiding out on a run as a escaped convict believes this person to be Jesus and can reunite her with her mother, you have to really think is that story plausible in any shape or form? But then again most of America believe that Trump is the savior!

The Midtown crowd will always flock to a great show and splash dollars. Shows that are British or British based have done will, think Billy Elliot, Matilda, Kinky Boots, Six and Operation Mincemeat etc. A well thought out entertaining show will always do well on Broadway.New York needs another family show there’s only The Lion King, Aladdin and Harry Potter, so no real family show for 8 years!

I have always seen the most popular show Tuesday-Thursday and the less popular Friday to Sunday, then using that logic I can stroll to a window at about 3pm and get what I want, but I always have a plan B.Going to TKTs at 11am is like going to see to Statue of Liberty at 10am, that is the time every tourists in New York go.On a side note does anyone know if Darryl is still around, he was a big black guy that worked the line at TKTs, he is also one of the nicest guy you find?

When I come over to visit my Father who lives in Palm Springs, I am thinking of doing a theatre road trip, by which I mean drive from the West Coast to the East Coast. Want to see shows on the way, but outside the big cities theatre seems to be a bit patchy. Has anyone done anything similar?

Everything in the production would have been damaged and everything will need renewing. The producers have the decide whether to close the show or move theatre. Don’t know if there is a spare tour set if they decide to move? This could be the Australian or UK one if no American one isn’t available.Will the insurance pay out the pay cheques for cast and crew?

Yeap she was one of the many producers. The production got a rave from the late Clive Barnes. Sonia’s sister Maria got raves across the board including from Ben Brantley in the NYT, although he did call the show ‘pallid’.

I gather Mary Poppins is a brand new production and therefore will be very different to the Disney/Cameron Mackintosh production, so I would also assume this production will be the one that goes on the road in 2027.So I also wonder why Disney/Cameron Mackintosh went for a brand new production, where the one that toured the UK recently was a big financial success and would also would be if it toured the US as it is very much a beloved title both sides of the pond.
