How many shows has she missed this week? I need to know.


I think she only missed Sundays show but it was announced a week prior to that she would be given the night off to attend the Tony's

Fantasia definitely got into the emotion of the song , but I re watched it and she's not crying , unless I missed something !

She's still very young and 3 years ago was just a teenage single mother with no prospects now she's singing at the Tony's . I expect it's an overwhelming position to be in , but given that though it was undoubtedly and emotional performance I still didn't see any crying

I actually think that it's hard to choose between Fantasia's performances as she's so consistently good , having said that she appeared genuinely overwhelmed to be there but still delivered the performance of the night for me

I just got back home to the UK after flying out for 5 days to see Fantasia in the Color purple . Let me qualify this by saying i'm not a Broadway fan and have no real experience of the theatre world . I am however a huge fan of Fantasia's . I went to see her in the Color purple as it was unlikely to see her in concert over here for a while . I had read the reviews and was very happy that they seemed positive . None of this however prepared me for the experience I had last saturday night . The w

I hate when the constant accusation levelled at Fantasia is that she screeches and screams , this is a criticism that is levelled at her by anyone too lazy to follow her career , she's not screeching here for instance

I agree , Rams is a Fantasia fan coming to post in a Fantasia thread , there seems nothing criminal in that , and even though this is called Broadway.com , if it was called Skateboarding.com or Carpentry weekly and there was a thread inviting opinions on Fantasia then it should be expected that interested parties would post a response

Rams, I can't really comment on the other stars in the movie as I have no strong feelings either way about any of them , Eddie Murphy has amused me over the years Beyonce doesn't really do a great deal for me , Jamie Foxx's work i'm not too familiar with and Usher strikes me as bland as can be , though I agree wholeheartedly about Fantasia , just praying now that she gets the role

I'm here because she's being bashed for no other reason than people don't like her . she's screen-tested for a film role and so called film snobs are bashing her because she's not Jennifer Hudson or Beyonce or an unknown , and anyway who are you to tell anyone that their views can't be aired here , at least i'm not being offensive to anyone . I'm supporting her because I think she's talented , Jamie Foxx is stating that he would love her in the film so I don't see why you some arrogant broadway

Fantasia is the only person that I can think of that has the voice and the stage presence to pull this off and make it truly incredible . Her performances on American Idol weren't karaoke performances , they were the real deal , and all this from someone with no formal training just innate natural talent .
