Where did you hear that the show was closing? Aaron Tveit is learning the show (won't tell you how I know that). He has been very vocal about wanting to play Sweeney since..really since 2013. But especially this year that Sweeney is actually running. He also has Tommy Kail connections. He's also a big enough name to extend the show's run or keep it going, and he's a good friend to Annaleigh Ashford. Otherwise I've also heard the Gyllenhaal rumor. I really hope it's not closing:/

All the performers I listed are (/were) classically trained singers, so I don’t see why it can’t be? And I’ve seen too many people to count use that system in musical theatre and other genres of music too.
