Finally saw this and LOVED it.I think this is an incredible first run of a musical.I feel this show suffers from having stars in it. As pointed out above, most musicals need many steps to get to Broadway. A Strange Loop (which I hope will win the Tony) took 16 years of development and 2 productions before it reached Broadway. Musicals are HARD. Suffs has so many incredible moments. There is a masterpiece in here.I think the star power and Public slot made a lot of us (including me) expect it ...
