The Phantom tour is spectacular in terms of its talent and it is also selling out at every stop its been on with wild ticket prices. Has anyone heard chatter if we think this production will have a final stop on Broadway a la Mamma Mia or Beetlejuice? Feels like it could be open ended and give them the reduced orchestra and modified design they always wanted.

Seems sad to have spent so much on a reno for the house to be sitting dark. I've heard there's talk on the current Phantom tour of a possible sit down of that production next fall. Anyone hear this as well?

With the news of Gypsy taking the Majestic, I was wondering if anyone had heard any further industry rumors of the extensively teased and now suddenly radio silent Phantom lite transfer/revival. I had originally heard interest in the Belasco but it has been many months without an update.

I did hear the Belasco but I find it hard to believe given the prominence of the show. The interior also does not match the gilded opulence of the show's setting. On a sidenote, does anyone who received the Shubert insider pics/found that ig post of the renovated interior mind sharing here? The theater looks gorgeous.

This looks gorgeous. It is making me think that unlike in London (where they preserved most of Phantom's original proscenium despite the renovations) --they might not open Hal Prince Phantom lite here. If it is going to be POTO after all, I wonder if the Trieste/Madrid version will come, along with its star (although Ramin booking Pirates of Penzance in 2025 has confused me among the rumors I heard stating he was already being sought for the revival). I got a brief peak inside and it appears that the auditorium is being primed (walls all white with scaffolding throughout). The marquee is gutted to its steel beams and being reinforced. I like many hope they will not install screens in lieu of traditional marquees, but I of course have no intel into the designs for the renovated exterior. With Sunset presumably going into the St. James, is there any further chatter about this house? I find it so odd that there would be no renderings or show ...

Cannot help but wonder if this is going into the St. James in the fall (and not the Majestic as rumored), if Phantom lite will reopen the Majestic and we'll have two ALW shows across 44th from one another. Anyone hear anything about why this isn't going into the Majestic?

It has been radio silence since all the buzz of a downscaled transfer in the weeks after POTO closed and there has also been nothing announced for the Majestic at all next season, though the work permits look like everything will wrap in the spring. Anyone have intel? Did their original plans change?
