Big Musicals - Will They Come Back
 Mar 6 2026, 09:47:15 AM

Maybe Happy Ending has EXCELLENT production value as does Death Becomes Her (both in the last year). And not every show NEEDS that overly produced production design. Oh, Mary got it perfectly right with its “flimsy” design because it’s a flimsy show but it’s about camp and being ridiculous. It’s perfect the way it is and if it had more production it wouldn’t have been the right choice.

Wrapping up: let the designers design and eithe

No worries my friend! Yea, I probably misinterpreted your response tone. I’m just glad you got to experience the show with Daniel! I loved the show when I saw it downtown a decade ago(?). It’s a beautiful story and was curious how they kept the intimacy of the storytelling but can see they added on stage seating. Also, we were on the producing team for Daniel in H2Succeed and he was wonderful to work with. I’m glad he’s got the chance to bring this touching story to so

Um...ok. Sorry? lol. Maybe my browser hadn't refreshed. Y'all are right. People def want to find a way to 'correct' the first "mis-statement" that's made around here. Just excited to hear people's impressions/reviews/thoughts/how their bowels reacted... you know... etc... lol. Thank you everyone for still contributing to an on-subject response. Hope everyone is having a good day! :)

I'm surprised we haven't heard many reviews (not real reviews but "impressions" of the show so far. Is there a different message group I'm missing? It's been over a week, hasn't it?

EDIT: Yes I edited this from it saying "ANY" reviews to "many." :) -Love,Peace,Theater! :)

After seeing the finale and seeing something pulled away I thought about that. Thanks!

Hey everyone! I was super curious if anyone has an idea on how they did THAT certain transition in Act II and would be open to sharing with me. It def had one of my biggest “WHAA?!?” moments in a scene change on my last trip.

please use the spoiler feature or feel free to email me! I’ve got like 3 theories and just curious if any of those are correct. :)

Thanks everyone. Have a great day!

Back row @ Vivian Beaumont sound?
 Jan 19 2026, 03:45:05 PM

Hey everyone!

I've got some BWAY Week 2-4-1 tix for Ragtime on Thursday and we got the back row of the balcony. My question is... do they have sound-dampening materials against the back wall? I see (since Josh Henry will be out that performance) they've lowered the ticket prices significantly in the orchestra and was wondering if it's worth a try to call and ask to pay the extra and move to the orchestra or is sitting in the back, enjoying the score, and seeing the breadth

Magic on Broadway - Doomed?
 Nov 12 2025, 12:21:51 PM

I'd go so far to say Harry Potter is the most successful "magical" show. There are literally dozens of illusions (at least in the original 2-part) but they help move the story forward versus being the focal point of the story. I'd like to think the Broadway is about story-telling (why Derren Brown's Secret went over well) and less a showroom for just big acts.

Punch streaming LOLST app?
 Oct 27 2025, 12:49:42 PM

Hey everyone. That subject is probably confusing because (I'm praying someone can help me understand what I'm missing) I bought a LIVESTREAM ticket from 'The League of Live Streaming' in partnership with MTC for Punch, and their instructions state you can download a LOLST app for Roku, Apple TV, etc... none of which I can find exist online. I submitted a help ticket through their support email but haven't received a response. Anyone have any helpful feedback?

Mamma Mia return BWAY production ?
 Jul 24 2025, 07:10:56 AM

Hey everyone,

Did they mention in any of the articles if they're rebuilding the full OG Broadway automated sets for this run or are they just using those non-union walls the cast moves around. I can't imagine those cheaper looking walls on such a large stage but curious if anyone had that info! Thanks!

Why are audiences so poorly behaved these days?
 Jul 23 2025, 03:53:46 PM

This is the first time I have had to post on behalf of an accessibility situation. I've been in theatre for 25+ years but last winter I was diagnosed with RSV (a severe respiratory virus, only contagious for 1 week but with chronic cough symptoms for weeks to months). I had already had trips to both NY and London for work and pleasure booked and I truly felt that if i didn't have a cough suppressant (which, forgive the pun, SUCKS to have in your mouth for 2+ hours) people thought

West End board?
 Jul 6 2025, 01:47:18 PM

Hey everyone. I've recently become traveling frequently between the US and the UK. What are some West End boards are there? I've tried to google and find some but most seem rarely visited. Thanks for your assistance!

Here We Are West End changes?
 May 5 2025, 07:20:35 PM

Thank you my friend! I assumed this work would be only slightly tweaked after its full run at The Shed. Thanks for your feedback and if ANYONE else gets any new... please feel free to share! #StaySondheimEveryone

Here We Are West End changes?
 May 5 2025, 03:24:45 PM

Hey insiders!

Do we have any inclination/leaks that the West End production will have any changes? I'd imagine they'd want to keep it as was presented at The Shed (i'm planning on seeing it for a 2nd time across the pond) but didn't know if anyone had heard anything. I enjoyed it greatly and looking forward to seeing a (mostly) new cast inhabit this fun production.

Stereo... closing? General question.
 Jan 9 2025, 12:36:27 PM

So, I realize some shows open with a business model of only performing a limited run if there is a star or if they think they can recoup or even make a big enough 'splash' during said time frame but with Stereophonic... any thoughts or insights on why they "had" to close. They were at, if not near, capacity throughout their time at the Golden and they extended multiple times. I'm happy to hear of the tour and the West End transfer but couldn't this show have lived a

Romeo + Juliet marketing...? F**ked?

Well, this seems to be getting out of hand, lol. @Chrishuyen, excellent point! I genuinely appreciate your view!  :) Still open to hearing additional thoughts from anyone who watches this production and can make intelligent connections or who has serious responses. Have a great night!

Romeo + Juliet marketing...? F**ked?
 Sep 27 2024, 01:37:07 PM

Nope. Not at all. Just still looking for anyone to give input on how this connects with this production. Thanks for the question! Is the production overly 'edgy' or 'obscene?' It seems from the reports its raw but again, I think the "merch" or "marketing" are boiling the entire experience to one-note. "The Youth..."

@kdogg36 - I absolutely get why that magnet appealed to you as a patron as it is pivotal to the tone of how all these kids are feeling and it's also the name of a song fairly early in the show. That's why I was curious if any of these other posters could help connect the dots for me. My Shakespeare may be a bit dusty but R+J do spend the night together, they defy their parents to seek true love and it's not really until the back half they believe the only chanc

Haha. I am loving these responses! Keep going everyone! Pretty sure I just asked for context between the merch and the production but thank you everyone for your input.
