Hey everyone!
I've got some BWAY Week 2-4-1 tix for Ragtime on Thursday and we got the back row of the balcony. My question is... do they have sound-dampening materials against the back wall? I see (since Josh Henry will be out that performance) they've lowered the ticket prices significantly in the orchestra and was wondering if it's worth a try to call and ask to pay the extra and move to the orchestra or is sitting in the back, enjoying the score, and seeing the breadth of the show will be just as enjoyable? I appreciate your feedback! Stay cool everyone! :)
If you’re willing and able to pay more to sit in a better seat, go for it, but I’ve personally never had any issues with the back row of the Beaumont loge. I sat there for Ragtime and thought it sounded and looked great, but you obviously don’t get the intimacy of seeing facial expressions that you would from the orchestra.
Sat center last row Loge for Ragtime and it sounded glorious.

i sat in Row K orchestra and the sound was muffled/not great throughout, but that had nothing to do with seat location and i definitely think you would be fine soundwise (and sightwise, everything is center stage) from the loge.

I sat last row, RIGHT SIDE LOGE Row E, Seat 505. Loved the show, had no issues with the sound at all. Go and enjoy.

I haven’t seen RAGTIME, but in my experience the sound in the Beaumont loge is better than the sound in the orchestra!
