Even if Natasha Et Al... doesn't move into the St. James, my guess is they will find someone a la Liza, Manilow, Donnie/Marie to come in and do a short Broadway Holiday Show. I can't imagine Jujamcyn's letting their biggest and most centrally located theatre sit Empty when holiday shows have proven to make $$. My vote is for Hugh Jackman: A Wolverine X-Mas!!

Katie left Annie to co-star in Michael J. Fox's new NBC show. She was not forced out to bring in Lynch. The MJF show has already been picked up by NBc for a full 22 ep season instead of the traditional 13 initial eps with a back 9 order after the show proves itself or not. Katie will be just fine. This TV gig HAS to be better than her last one. Plus Lynch is only a temporary replacement herself... since she will begin filming Glee again late summer.

Nice Work is having itself a nice little run this Fall. If they can find a name to come in and replace Broderick they can probably get another year out of it. It would probably move easily to a smaller house if Houdini is given the Imperial for Hugh Jackman. Evita is holding up well, even with Ricky only doing 7 a week (you are correct, Mondays off). Elena Roger was out most of last week as well. Drood has some great word of Mouth after its first weekend.

I would think it is a better long term business strategy, (discussed somewhere on these boards in the past) to keep the broadway show at the Smaller Eugene O'Neil to prolong the hot ticket which helps sell the road show better since it will be easier to get tix for the road house you may live near at a slightly more affordable price than Broadway, helping to build the brand name and a title that will continue to sell to Touring Markets based on the strength of the Broadway production alone. Pantages is much wider Pantages at 2700 seats with an average ticket price of, say $110 will bring in $2,376,000 over an 8 show week. Compared to the Ahmanson same Avg ticket price of $110 at a capacity of 1800, only grosses $1,584,000, a difference of $792,000 per week..
