They also had a DVD with a performance of "The Brontes" which was a bit "Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson" and might be the one we're looking forward to the most!

I never saw the pop opera but went with someone who's devoted to it and her biggest complaint - besides the one you mention - is that they changed the character of the sister from a frumpier girl to a pretty hot one. She said that didn't help the overall tone of the musical. My opinion, based on what I heard were some the changes, is that they were trying to make it much, much more mainstream and maybe more appealing to people who like tween shows, as opposed to the darker, more mature crowd ...

These are just beautiful! Transported me to when I was a child trying to recreate the settings of my favorite movies and dressing up my toys as the characters. Truly gorgeous work. You should sell these on Etsy or teach kids interested in art direction how to make them.

I agree with you egghumor, I don't see how this show will succeed on any level. It's too boring to be a glamorous spectacle like the movie and it's not serious enough to be as touching as the novella. Plus with all the confusing references from the movie (cause it's truly a pastiche of the novella and the movie) it will mostly piss off fans of either. That scene with the guitar in particular was infuriating. If they don't want us to expect the movie, then don't be such c0ck teases! And the so...

I was looking forward to this show so much and then there it was. I wouldn't call it horrendous either, but it can't help but feel like a huge disappointment. Emilia Clarke was simply luminous, I am a big fan of "Game of Thrones" and never knew she had this kind of presence to her. She plays Holly like a combination of Audrey and a spitfire Barbara Stanwyck character and you really can't take your eyes off of her.
