Hey everyone, so I may possibly get bashed on here for promoting this, but I'm doing so because I thought if anyone would appreciate my artwork (and could give me advice for some of the shows I haven't seen). So I make these theatre boxes, where I choose one scene from a show I like and recreate the set. The beginning stuff is just some random artwork, but if you click on the archive you can see all my the shows I've done. Also, let me know if there's any problems with any of them, and if you want to see me make one for a show, send me pics of the proscenium, curtain, and set.

You don't deserve to be bashed for this (and I don't think you will be). These are really clever and charming. Not surprisingly, I think I like the Follies one the best. :)

Cats, Phantom, Lion King and Tarzan all look spectacular. And I agree with Phyllis. Follies seems particularly inspired.

I think my favorites are your Follies, Million Dollar Quartet, Evita, Hair, Lion King, Shrek, and Phantom boxes.

Also, your Lady Gaga drawings and Cats makeup are amazing!

Thanks everyone :) As for the Follies set, I am very hesitant to name one show as my favorite, but Follies...it's definitely one I would consider for that position. I was supposed to see it, and then last minute my parents backed out. But when I made it, I said to myself that I had to make it one of the best. Trying to get those balconies to work out, phew. I was definitely mad when my early attempts failed.

You're not at all annoying, because your drawings (and your face makeup) display a genuine love for the shows. It seems much more like you are sharing that love than promoting a website.

I like the Follies best, because it is my all-time favorite show, although I wish you could do a box from the designs of the original production and not the revival.

And next time you're feeling really sad or hating life and you need to feel like you're starting a new life (which I hope is not very soon, although we all feel like that sometimes), can you try to make a Skimbleshanks face? He's my favorite of the Cats.

I really like them all; however, I love your WICKED, EVITA, and AVENUE Q. You have a great eye for making models of real designs. I'd love to see your own original designs too! Good work!

I can see some of these, especially the WICKED one, selling like hotcakes at the merchandise booth. Package them like the Edward Gorey DRACULA toy theatre.

Great! These should become the 'next big thing' in Theatre Merchandise! I'd pay to have my favourite shows like this.

Thanks everyone :) PalJoeu, I'll be sure to try out Skimbleshanks. I have a majority of black and white makeup which is why I haven't tried any of the other ones. I have always wanted to show the actual productions on Broadway these to see what they'd say. And Kad, it usually takes 2 days. I focus on the outside and draw the inside day one. Day two I color and cut out the inside.

These are just beautiful! Transported me to when I was a child trying to recreate the settings of my favorite movies and dressing up my toys as the characters. Truly gorgeous work. You should sell these on Etsy or teach kids interested in art direction how to make them.
