re: Who else watches 1776 every year?

I love 1776! I watch it every year with my family. I don't have the recording, but my history professor played some of "Sit Down John" in class last semester when we covered the Founding Fathers. I totally geeked out.
re: Most overwhelming audience reaction?

"Once Before I Go" from The Boy From Oz. I saw it during previews, and there was a standing ovation. I had never seen a standing ovation before a show ended. It was a great moment. Gotta love Hugh Jackman...
re: Shows you hated

Rent
Dreamgirls
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

re: Weirdest comment by an actor?

When I went to go see Sweeney in April, Alexander Gemignani came out first at the stage door, holding his trumpet. He signed Playbills, still holding his trumpet. As he was leaving, he said, "No, I'm not going to serenade you (you as in the crowd)." Apparently, his trumpet was stuck and couldn't take it apart to put it in its case. That was a great moment.
re: Famous people who you saw at a broadway show

I saw Ralphie May (from season 1 of Last Comic Standing) at La Cage a few years ago.
re: Have you ever...

I've never walked out of a show, but my parents almost walked out when they saw Movin' Out.
re: If you could play ONE role on Broadway........

Mrs. Lovett from Sweeney Todd
re: Currently Listening to?

Sweeney Todd Revival
re: best Tony acceptance speech

Christian Hoff, John Doyle, and Beth Leavel
the 2006 positive appreciative tony awards thread!

I loved that John Doyle won. His speech was great. Also liked Neil Patrick Harris and Joanna Gleason introducing Sweeney. LOL
re: John Doyle's Speech

Broadway.com has the transcripts of all the speeches.
re: What would be your sweetest Tony upset?

Michael Cerveris over JLY
Mano over Jim Dale
Patti over LaChanze

re: I love this Cast Recording?

I've been listening to the Sweeeney Todd revival cd constantly. Love it!!!
re: Patti or LaChanze?

Patti will and deserves to win.
re: Behind the Scenes at Sweeney Todd

That was the most awesome video ever! I love Michael's ping-pong head.
re: Broadway Week on Regis and Kelly

Great to see Sweeney this morning (and what a performance!). I had hoped that they would've talked to Mano more, but whatever.

I also want Michael (and Mano and Patti) to get the Tony!

re: Shows you have been in but you are embarassed to say you have.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in 6th grade. My music teachers thought it would be a good idea if the show had a "baseball theme".
re: Broadway Week on Regis and Kelly

I'm so happy Sweeney is going to be on Regis and Kelly!!!! I'll make sure that I watch for sure.
re: Cell Phone Rings at History Boys - Griffiths Stops The Show

Good for Mr. Griffiths! During The Crucible a few years ago, Liam Neeson was speaking in Act I when a cell phone went off (the ringtone was the Mexican Hat Dance). That just ruined the moment.
First show EVER

The first show I ever saw on Broadway was The Producers.
