Is anyone going?
Any audition song suggestions for a tenor?
First thing that came to mind was It's Not Where You Start from Seesaw.

They are looking for a teen ensemble, right?

Yes. I wish I could go, but I have a performance (at college- in Massachusetts) that night.

Auditions for non-union regional theatre have been hot messes (did anyone attend that ridiculous call for the Millbrook Playhouse this past Sat?).
So, I can't even imagine what a non-union open call for a Broadway revival will unleash; I'm gonna pass because I won't get there at 2am to sign in. :-P
Open calls have been absolutely crazy lately--I was #130 at the Surlight auditions last Tuesday, and I got there at 6:45. I picture people camping out overnight for this one. Best of luck to everyone who goes!

Rumor has it a young lady signed herself into a surflight audition the night BEFORE at 11 pm; is that even allowed??!!
they clearly stated that the BBB people will NOT be honoring an unofficial list...and since it's carnahan, I expect like the Spring Awakening auditions, he will type out and not waste his time or anyone elses.
"yeah," are you serious??? I would have killed her on the spot.
What happened at Millbrook? I was going to go but got sick.

I know a couple people who are going out for it. Nice to see they're casting young instead of having 29-year-olds play the teenagers.
I can't wait for Nick Adams' turn as Shirtless Teenager!
Surflight was ridiculous...I was up at 4:00 to sign in on the last day and vow to never do that again. Absolutely insane.
The Millbrook audition was intense, but part of the biggest problem with it was that it was poorly run.
BBB isn't honoring the unoficial list and you have to sign in before 11. After that they're closing the list. Hopefully they'll type and make it easier for everyone.
As for a song my first instinct was to go with something like "I Can See It" from Fantasticks or something along those lines...haven't made a decision yet, though. Break a leg!
Cheers,
Christopher

How early is a good time to get there and any song ideas for girls?
Thanks!

my friend was going to go. I might tell her she shouldn't...
is singing something from Hair too different from Birdie?
I would think so, yeah. They want a traditional Broadway sound.
Isn't it a dancer's call?

No--it's an open call.

I might go, I turned down auditioning for '13' which is now a big regret of mine, I don't think I'm gonna let another chance slip away.
I planned on singing "Soon It's Gonna Rain" from The Fatasticks. I've been practicing it for a few months for a competition on Wednesday. What do you guys think?
Joy, it's on the one day I'm scheduled to work.... or else I would take the bus into the city for the day and give it a shot.
