I saw the musical on Sunday the 24th at the matinee performance… sorry it took me so long to post comments. It seems like the musical has changed since the initial posts. The best way I can describe the musical is “Into the Woods” meets “Spamalot.” The sets were truly outstanding – whoever designed them should win some awards! i am seeing it on the 24th (and then again on Sept. 21 because we want to see how the show changes in its time in Seattle). I'll post notes about the show and pictures if possible after I see it. The camera gave Shuler Hensley monster-like red eyes, but he was absolutely sweet conversing with all of the fans! Christopher waved to the fans but went straight to the limo (playing Igor with such energy and being a new dad, he deserves some down time!) Megan Mullally also rode out and waved to us through her window - one daring fan chased the car down the street and caught her at a stop light! Hope he got an autograph.

Roger Bart wonderfully spent time with each fan in the crowd - and deftly smiled for tons of photos!

Fred Applegate asked if anyone could identify who he played in the show. He may be disguised by his costumes, but his roles as Inspector Kemp and the Hermit are unforgettable!

Another green musical sings its way to Broadway! We saw Young Frankenstein two weeks ago, on its third day previewing in Seattle. We thought it was great! We also saw it tonight. Saw the show tonight in Seattle... what amazing talent! Seattle is lucky to see these fantastic actors for even a short while. I've never seen the production on Broadway, but I thought the opening number was good. It premiered in Seattle last August and was... well... not very good. The reviews were pretty poor. I usually enjoy every musical I see, but this one was sort of a waste of money. The songs were not very singable, and the severe differences between the real, prep-school girls and the "little princesses" on stage was too much. I don't know where it went from Seattle after such a terrible preview.
