Catching it tonight. Any idea of the running time?
Heard that it is running long right now (around 3 hours, before the cutting begins), but that the show is very funny, with strong performances, good score and physical production.
Sounds like this is going to be a hit. The NEW Lion King perhaps?

Three friends saw it last night and loved it. I hope to see it in the next couple of weeks.

Not so fast. Did you read the article in the Post the other day. Advance sales are pretty dismal right now.
The set looks very cool! I really wish I could see this!
So is Kecia going to only voice the dragon ala Audrey II?
Adam. shove a cork in it.... THIS IS GOING TO BE A HIT!@!!!

And if word continues to remain good from Seattle, that will change immediately. I'm sure there was a certain amount of "guilt by association" that the group sales agents and other advance ticket buyers were feeling after getting burned on the Disney shows. I think people are taking a wait and see attitude, but will buy if it does well in Seattle.
Also Riedel stacked the decks a bit against Shrek. It previews and opens later than Billy Elliot and would naturally have a softer advance than an already known and proven commodity like Billy Elliot.

Wait a sec, 4 people have said they liked it.
Are we basing a future hit/possible TONY win off of a facebook status update and 3 friends of a friend?
no.
basing it off of an all-star cast, dazzling sets and costumes, a brilliant creative team (with the talented Mr. Moore), and a WONDERFUL score by Ms. Tesori!
I hate to say it, but TDH has a good point.
If anyone has info, HOW does Sutton go from Person-Fiona to Orge-Fiona?

If Kecia only voices the role of the Dragon, does that make her ineligible for a Tony nomination? I guess we'll have to wait until the synopsis/reviews tonight as well as the Tony committee meeting later on. Does anybody know if Michael-Leon Wooley was eligible for consideration in 2004 for voicing Audrey II?
Here's a point:

Of course, the gleeful pre-production negative dog-piling and pissing all over Shrek received no condemnation from anyone here whatsover. But of course, reports of "too long but looking good" are met with suspicion and skepticism.
The set looks so cute! I can't wait to see what the entire cast looks like.
