Hey everyone!

So, if you were do audition for Christine in Phantom, what songs would you think of bringing to sing?

Some ideas I had were:
Till there was you from the Music Man
Make Believe from Showboat

but something that definately shows off the soprano range...

audition for Michael Legrand's Marguerite

Hey everyone,

Our drama school has been lucky enough to get the rights to do Michael Legrand's Marguerite after Christmas. I'm going for the role of Annette, and get to sing 2 songs, and was needing some help on what to sing.

We can sing one song from the musical, so I might sing 'Jazz Time' but don't know about the other.
Any ideas?

'What If' from Sweet Smell of Success

but the song book only has a few of the songs from the musical.
Anyone have the sheet music or know where I could get it from?

Any suggestions on a folky pop musical and female song suggestions?

I'm thinking along the lines of Pippin or Spring Awakening maybe.

So guys, what do you think the perfect soprano song is.....?

'think of me' from phantom is good.

'glitter and be gay' is awesome, though extremely hard to pull off

any other ideas?

Hey everyone!

I am looking to sing one of Ricky Ian Gordon's songs for my singing assessment at the end of term-though now that his piano accompainments are known to be difficult, especially to sight read.
Does anyone have any suggestions of some of his songs for sopranos that have less complicated accompianments?

I'm needing a soprano song by Stephen Schwartz for my repetoire class.
I know there are some good soprano ones from Wicked, but I was wanting to do something that wasn't that obvious.
Does anybody recommend any?

a few of us musical theatre students are doing a little cabaret performance for my mate's birthday and wanted to do it (if there is a cool one going round)

well i don't think u realise....as u probablly don't have an agent, a professional performer doesn't know of an audition untill the last minute-that's why they call it a hard business.....
the casting director doesn't publish the dates untill the the last minute

so thanks to the first person who replied with suggestions-i really appreciate it!

i have an audition for Evita tomorrow for ensemble
they've asked me to prepare 2 contrasting songs to show range, that are appropriate to the style of the show.
i am a strong soprano by the way
does anyone have any suggestions of what songs i should do?
