Another gay guy who falls into the stereotype of liking musical theater. But the gayness doesn't stop there. I particularly love magical musicals, about fantasy, fairy tales, poofy dresses, sparkly special effects, and, yes, Disney.

Re: Dolly Parton has passed away at age 80

I think it’s safe to say many people love Dolly Parton and I am one as I have learned more about her recently. I also love Horrible Bosses! Both films but yeah, Aniston was hilarious!

I’m a gay man who doesn’t know a loooot of Dolly’s songs or know that much about her as so many others do. I saw her wonderful work in Steel Magnolias, preferred her haunting “I Will Always Love You” to Whitney’s, and fell in love with her “Jolene”. I saw bits of her 9 to 5 movie and musical. I saw her sing a few times on camera (thanks for pointing me to “Baby I’m Burnin’”, it’s great!), and I know of Dollywood and would love to go. And my cousins use her program that she started that sends ...

I first saw him in The Worst Witch as well. Then the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Then It. He was in some of my favorite movies, and was one of my favorite performers. He is an icon and a legend. I’m glad he’s free from pain now, in a much better place, maybe entertaining everyone in Heaven. I am glad I get to enjoy his work over and over again, till I can see him there myself.

Thank you to everyone who praised and recommended this pro-shot. It made me go see it with my cousin and we both loved it. I had never seen it on stage or even heard a song from it before. Great score, great direction, great performances, and a great filming. A stellar experience. I got chills a few times. So glad I didn’t miss this!

Anyone seeing Disney's Latest Film?

Jeffrey Karasarides said: "I never saw the film, but from photos I've seen, the castle looked too clean. Especially compared to the cartoon, which while had itsshare of nice-looking rooms, still had others that naturally gave you a sense of uneasiness."Ok, I will admit the animated castle looked creepier than the live-action one. If only they could keep that glorious rococo beauty but have added more scare.

Anyone seeing Disney's Latest Film?

Jg2019 said: " i can appreciate things about beauty and the beast but the production design was not good, and poor casting choice for belle. emma watson looked like herself. didn’t even give her darker hair, plus her gold dress was not good."Ok, Belle should have been cast better, her gold dress needed to be better…but what was wrong with the production design? That was the best part of the movie and my favorite production design of the Disney live-action remakes. Beauty and the Beast (2017) ...

So you think Amy just did a better job at acting in her smaller role than Ariana? I can understand that. She was chilling.I have not seen many films this year. I usually see films from friend recommendations, and also try to at least see whatever wins Best Picture. It sounds amazing that this year is considered that good for films and performances. At least I saw Sinners (and liked it very much).

So, I just looked to see Amy Madigan was nominated in Supporting. She was great, but she didn’t have a big long journey that made me tear up like Ariana. I would have nominated Ariana over her, but I guess since Weapons was the better movie, they figured Amy deserved it more. That’s usually how the Best Costume winner works. Not all the time, but usually, the Academy just votes most for the costumes in the film that was also nominated for Best Picture, even when other nominated costumes are c...

So while yes, it’s true I have not seen a lot of the movies that could have Oscar worthy performances this year, I truly cannot see a world where Ariana’s performance does not garner an Oscar nomination. I also think she will win, but admittedly that is, as I said, without knowing much of the competition.

This Oscar Season Don’t Forget About ‘Kiss of the Spider Woman’

I am embarrassed to say just because the leads didn't get recognition that's probably why I didn't think they were good enough. They were great, just like I thought the whole movie was (minus wishing the music was more memorable and that Jlo could sing better).

I saw this yesterday on streaming and wow! Ok, so I had never seen the musical or heard any music from it before. I didn't even know anything of the plot going in. I just saw the trailer and thought some movie star was gonna help some poor boy get successful or something. It was surprisingly extremely gay, and that was awesome. I thought it was a great movie, but that's probably just because the material was already great, because the actors, while good, did not give outstanding performances ...

Super cool! I thought Wicked's Broadway sales would go down but the opposite happened!

I liked Michelle in the role. She was such an icy bitch. I liked her reserved and kind of secret menace. I didn't care that she wasn't a strong singer. I haven't bought a soundtrack for the films yet, but I don't think I'd be bothered that I have to hear a few minutes of poor singing in between absolutely glorious singing by everybody else.
