I saw Cry Baby in previews and really hated it, but Chester was one of the bright moments. I also saw him sing at a fund raiser for NYMF and was impressed. I imagine he's moving on to bigger and better things and good for him. I do agree that it's awful to hope for a show to close since people would be out of jobs, and with a Tony nomination looks like this one may be around longer than we all think.

This show really seems to be gaining steam. The question is will it snag that Tony?

Have any of you seen the TONY pool at www.theproducersperspective.com? They're giving away a free I phone. Looks pretty cool!

Has anybody ever been involved in a TONY awards pool? I know some people do them at the office and things like that. I'm curious as to what experience people have had with awards pools. Especially online ones. I just noticed one on www.theproducersperspective.com where the producer is giving away a free I-Phone. Does this happen a lot? I'm new to all of this. I'd love to hear some opinions. Thanks!

I was not a huge fan myself, but people have been saying it got better than in previews. A quick way to see what Brantley thought of it is this site I really like called www.didhelikeit.com I think the Country Girl review is up on there too. Personally, I really had a lot of problems with the show and am glad I saw it without paying for it.

I also saw this show in previews and was not impressed at all. I had a verbal response that was noticed by those around me to the mundane lyrics and thought the whole thing was ridiculous. I won't drop any spoilers for those who have aspirations of wasting their money to check this one out, but let's just say if you pop in a copy of Grease, Oklahoma, and drop a little acid, then you're not far off from what you'll see at the show. So I just came across a new website that does something pretty cool. You can check out a funny little icon to see if the NY Times enjoyed the show or not! No kidding!
