God I hope Fun Home wins or Something Rotten. American in Paris was incredibly boring. It was more of a ballet than a musical. There was this one dance scene that went on forever and ever. I was like KILL ME.
I've already seen the show. They are originally my grandparents tickets, but they were unable to make it to NYC, so they said to sell any tickets to shows that I have already seen.
I think due to the cold weather it is WAAAAY easier to get SRO. My roommate and I went on a freezing day super late, hilariously won the lottery, but decided to forgo the partial view seats for SRO, which the lottery guy said was the better decision. We tried SRO in the summer, showed up super early, and there were already 30 people in line, so we couldn't get tickets. Winter is the time to do it!
Todaytix is a great source, but prob should use for about one or two tickets depending on how many people you can get to use your 20$ code. Mine is ROZXB. Other shows you can rush for. Like Honeymoon in Vegas. Literally no one was standing in line to rush tickets when I went, so I just stood in line for about 10 minutes until it was 10 am and got two orchestra seats for super cheap. If you go to broadwayforbrokepeople.com you can see all the shows that are doing rush tickets.
You can just spend 32$ for rush tickets and have really great seats. The show is not doing well, so it isn't packed. Literally on a cold day, show up at 10 am, and you will get good seats. I had two orchestra seats in section L for last night.
