Not really. I got there at 9:40 yesterday and was 5th in line. Got seats in the house left box furthest from the proscenium, along the railing. The view from there was fine, you miss very little.

Anyone rush today? I assume weekends are busier but probably not too crazy yet. I'm planning to rush tomorrow and will probably get there around 10 or 10:30 -- will report back!

FYI- They don't have Sunday performances until after Opening Night.

You may wish to consider the last 2 rows of the rear mezz, which are priced at $27 for all performances.

Those $27 seem to sell out very quickly to many shows, and I don't have the luxury of being able to buy for a random date in the future. I'm fine to brave the cold and wake up, just want to know when!

Today I rushed and got there about 9:40am. Was 7th in line, and only about 10 people by the time the box office opened, and everyone got rush tickets (including most people buying 2). I got the front left box. Excited to see the show!

When I rushed this show in August (third in line at around 8:00 a.m.), they gave the first rush tickets to the right box farthest from the stage, and subsequent tickets were given to the boxes closer (the sightlines are better farther back). I assume they then moved to the left boxes and started from the rearmost box. While this is a tech-heavy show, most of the action takes place center stage, and anything missed on the extreme ends is brief and Christopher is narrating everything he is doing anyway. I thought the view in the second-to-rear-most right box was excellent for the price, and as a bonus, we could see the lights and drawings on the floor, which the folks in the orchestra missed. I'd rush this show for that price from that seat again in a heartbeat.

I was in the left, rearmost box, on the edge seat (box C, seat 1 to be specific), and the view was great. I agree that seeing the floor is a treat, which would not be possible in most of the orchestra. The only thing I missed was the stage-right wall, but you really only need to be able to see one of the side walls to immerse yourself in the setting.
Try to get one of the "edge" seats in the box (i believe 1 and 3 for the left at least)
I think some rush seats may have been elsewhere though, since I did not see one person I had been chatting with in line. Or he could have been buying for a friend...
What a show! The way they use technology, projections, and lights in the staging is fascinating.

I rushed on Saturday for the matinee, got three tickets at around 10:20AM. Our seats were in the second row orchestra to the right, obstructed view. The obstruction was one of the benches, basically anything on the ground or near to it wasn't visible. When someone is sitting on the bench, that also obstructs a lot of the action. Great show, but definitely something to think about when rushing.

I rushed Sunday, May 31. Showed up at 10:30 am and was 22nd in line. Didn't get a rush ticket, but was able to get a side orchestra partial view. In the end, I actually think I fared better than the rush. The rush tickets were the first few rows side orchestra, and there is a box (for seating/storage) right in front of the seats. Multiple rush people in front of me got up and left during the first act because they literally could not see most of the action on the stage. They asked to be moved at intermission, and the manager said he would have moved them if he had any seats, but that he literally could not find open seats for them. So I'd suggest asking about the partial view at least a few rows back from front.

Has anyone rushed recently? I'm going into the city next week and this is the only show I'm interested in seeing besides the other ones I already have tickets to. I would really prefer not to sit in a box, so was wondering if it seems they're still giving those out regularly for rush.

In case any cares - when I saw the show I opted for the $27 rear mezz seats and they were great. Full, unobstructed view. I was even able to move down to the front mezz for act 2.

How does moving down work? Do you just ask an usher? I've never changed seats mid show before and I was planing on going for the $27 rear mezz sometime in the next week or two.

Don't ask an usher. Officially they are not allowed to tell you that you can move. In fact usually they're instructed to specifically say NO. However most will not say anything if you move down at intermission. Just don't take it upon yourself to move before the show starts or even a few minutes in, because more times than not the usher will have to reseat you back to your actual seat.
How has rush for this been lately? And how late do they sell rush tickets? I'm going to be in the city Wednesday (from WV) for an audition and IF I can make it want to see this matinee, but I don't know if I'll be done in time or not. Can I go to the box office a few minutes prior to performance and still get a rush seat? I don't want to gamble $37 and maybe not get to see the show. I was going to order a last row $27 ticket as suggested (would be willing to gamble that much) but once Telecharge fees were added the ticket was $3 MORE than the rush ticket. RIDICULOUS!!!

Frankly, I think the show is worth more than the $27 ticket even after charges (and the charges pay for themselves in the convenience that you have a secure full-view seat) but if you're not willing to spend thirteen extra dollars I would plan on seeing something else because as far as I know this show still does pretty well and rush sells pretty quickly.
