BIG FISH Aug 30 2013, 11:22:35 AM
I, too, am very excited about this show...I'm seeing it Sept. 25th. I'm actually a little surprised, though, at the lack of hoopla surrounding BIG FISH especially considering that previews start in six days. No word on an OC album...nuttin'... Anyway...can't wait... ~ Tim

Opera Glasses - Where to Buy in NYC? Worth It? Aug 29 2012, 06:03:56 PM
Hi ~ I don't know about where to get them in person but, several months ago I ordered these really cheap (around $13) from Amazon and they were fine. I used them for both "Porgy and Bess" and "Newsies" and they were perfectly acceptable from mid-to-rear mezz. ~ Tim

Jeremy Jordan in "Newsies" Jul 16 2012, 11:14:36 AM
Hi all ~ I'm FINALLY coming to NYC next week to see "Newsies" and was wondering about JJ's matinee performance schedule. Does he (still) do Wednesday matinees? I'd read that since signing on for season 2 of "SMASH" he might have to free up his days for filming. Has that occurred yet? Anyone know? Thanks, in advance, for your replies. Tim

Richard Rodgers Theater Seating Apr 23 2012, 05:43:47 PM
Hi all ~ I bought some discounted tickets for "Porgy and Bess" @ the Richard Rodgers Theater and was wondering if anyone on here knew (from experience) how the view in that theater is from the rear mezz. Is it decent or awful? Thanks, Tim

re: ITH seating question Nov 8 2008, 10:46:15 AM
Hey there, I just saw the show on Wednesday. My seats were Right Orch., Row D, Seats 4-8. Having never been to the Richard Rodgers before, I was a little concerned about how the view was going to be also. Your seats are certainly comparable to mine and mine turned out to be amazing. BTW, the show is a stunner. ENJOY! Tim

re: Presale tickets West Side Story in D.C. Sep 10 2008, 08:57:00 PM
I was on Telecharge earlier today. It appears that only Premium seats are on presale. Nothing else would come up. I admit I'm against paying Premium prices in most cases but, for this the top price is only 151.00 + and it is, after all, WSS. I grabbed a couple - row B, center. Can't wait!!!

re: RARE CAST RECORDINGS on iOFFER.COM...Have any of you purchased one? Jul 20 2008, 06:54:54 AM
Hi ~ Not sure if this will help you make up your mind or not. I have no experience with this particular seller but, I've (head hung in shame) purchased bootlegs of many different items on ioffer. I got some good transfers to DVD of the 1960's TV presentations of Brigadoon and Carousel (both starring Robert Goulet) and other stuff not theater related. The quality has always been good to excellent. The ioffer site is very similar to eBay, in that it has a customer rating system. You can get a

Dream Cast For Movie "Follies" Jun 15 2008, 04:13:14 PM
Okay folks, forgive me if this ground has been covered. According to IMDb there is a film version of Sondheim's "Follies" afoot. Sondheim himself has intimated there was a well know director and a well known actress batting around the idea. (I've heard Sam Mendes' name mentioned as well as Streisand's). Who would you like to see star in this? And please remember, these gals (and men) have to have some movie marquee presence. I for one would love to see Streisand, MacLaine and Minnelli togeth

re: George Wendt May 11 2008, 06:27:38 PM
Thanks all ~ ...for your assist and input. Wendt's not the reason I'm going (I just love the show) but, was nonetheless curious. I hear the show is in great shape. I'm also going to see The Country Girl that evening. I know it's been ripped to shreds by some but, I'm optimistic.

George Wendt May 11 2008, 03:36:17 PM
Hi folks ` I've lurked around here awhile 'til now. Would greatly appreciate your help. Does anybody know if George Wendt is still in as Edna? I'm coming to NYC this week and have snagged some awesome Row C, Orch seats using the discount code for Wed. matinee. Can't wait! Thanks, Tim
