SPAMALOT MIDI or ACCOMPANIMENT?

Jul 20, 2005 — 10:58:28 PM

Hi, I'm looking for a midi or music without vocals to The Song That Goes Like This and His Name is Lancelot from the new musical Spamalot. I don't know of a songbook being out yet, or have the slightest idea where I can find this music or midi without the vocals for these songs. If anyone knows how I can acquire these or put me into contact with someone who can get me a copy by November or so, that'd be awesome! Brett

Dance Newbie needs help with song selection! Please!

Jun 17, 2005 — 1:36:33 PM

Okay, I've been following broadway for a little more than a year now, so I don't know a whole lot aobut shows and stuff. I also have never seen a dance show and haven't really paid attention to that aspect of musicals, mainly because I'm a singer who just dances to get by. But, for a competition next year, my school has the talent to pull off something special because we have 6 or 7 phenomenal female dancers. All of them can sing a little bit. And two of them are AMAZING tap dancers. Since mo...

Duets?

Oct 5, 2004 — 7:07:18 PM

Looking for a duet to do with a friend, kind of last minute though. Trying to stay away from stuff that is way overdone. I'm a low to midrange baritone. She's a soprano but has a sweet and soft kind of voice rather than one of those opera or "belting" voices. Would like to have fun with something but don't mind a really solid serious song. May also try to do one with a low tenor/high baritone as well but only if it's a blast to do. Any suggestions are a help! Thanks!

Contact Joe DiPietro?

Oct 2, 2004 — 4:39:27 PM

Hi, I am desperately looking for the lyrics to a song in The Thing About Men and can't find them anywhere. I posted it here one time and didn't get a response either but I figured maybe the lyricist, Joe DiPietro (who also did I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change) could help me out. Does anyone know any way to get in touch or contact him? Greatly appreciated, thanks!

re: New Cast Recording for Little Shop of Horrors Lyrics?

Well I'm singing through Mushnik and Sons and the lyrics are totally different on the CD than they are on all the lyrics pages I've looked at. So if anyone has the new lyrics for specifically that song, that'd be great!

The Thing About Men Lyrics/MIDI/Sheet Music?

Sep 14, 2004 — 2:31:32 PM

Hey, I found a song I would like to do for competition but its from a little known show and I'm having a lot of trouble finding lyrics to it, let alone getting a MIDI or some sheet music. The song is called Me Too/One-Woman Man from The Thing About Me. If anyone knows of any place that has the sheet music, a MIDI, or lyrics to the song please let me know, it'd be greatly appreciated. It's a great song, just can't find anything on it. Thanks!

re: Need Song Ideas

Just a bump, lots of good suggestions here but we've ran into a couple issues the last couple days on getting people to do it that are dedicated for this competition. Our original plan months ago was to do The Opening from SFANW but the two guys who are putting this group together (myself included) are actually a bass and a baritone and singing up for us just didn't sound too good so we ditched that idea. Grease, too overplayed. Listened to the songs from A New Brain and weren't overly impres...

Need Song Ideas

Sep 1, 2004 — 2:01:04 PM

Hey all, Looking for a song that I can do with some friends for a competition. I haven't really chosen the people I want it, it kind of is based on the song. But we need it to be between 3-7 people, a mix of guys and girls (exact number doesn't really matter but no more than 5 of either), and preferably something with humor. Just searching for ideas, I'd like to listen to any of them so if you know of any really great songs (that aren't overdone, no one wants to do a song that everybody knows...

re: New Guy, Question Maybe You All Could Help With

Jul 23, 2004 — 8:44:26 PM

Actually, Everybody's a Little Bit Racist was my first choice for a group. Big Ass Rock we were also going to try... but we didn't have enough males with the talent and the personalities to try it so I didn't bother. I thought about Everybody's a Little Bit Racist and its still my first choice if I can find the surrounding people to attempt it with. That song is very funny and also very enjoyable. Thanks for the suggestions, if anyone has any more they're much appreciated! As for the book, ca...

New Guy, Question Maybe You All Could Help With

Jul 23, 2004 — 5:08:27 PM

Hey everyone, I just came across this website browsing for Broadway music and songs and it seemed like a great community so I signed up and was hoping someone could give me a great suggestion. I'm a high school student going to local county competition in a couple of weeks in South Florida and was in desperate need of ideas of some pieces to perform. I'm only allowed to do three, and generally I like to do a solo musical, a duet musical, and a small group musical (3-6 people). My biggest prob...
