Okay, I've been following broadway for a little more than a year now, so I don't know a whole lot aobut shows and stuff. I also have never seen a dance show and haven't really paid attention to that aspect of musicals, mainly because I'm a singer who just dances to get by. But, for a competition next year, my school has the talent to pull off something special because we have 6 or 7 phenomenal female dancers. All of them can sing a little bit. And two of them are AMAZING tap dancers. Since most numbers need guys in them too, we have two or three guys that can sing well and can dance well enough to get by without getting marked off too much. But since it's so hard to pull off a large group (8-16 people) dance number in our district's competition, we feel like this is a year to win with the talent we have. Problem is... I'm kind of heading it up, but I need a song and am at lost to find one.
I have no idea if there are any dance numbers from any musical (doesn't even have to be a Broadway musical) that have like a tap solo or duet in them but aren't really tap pieces. If there are, that would be ideal, but since half of the girls can't tap, I can't really do a total tap number. It also would be awesome if we had 2 main male singers and 2 main female singers (or 1 and 1 or 1 and 2, but no more than 4 big solo parts). I really can't explain what I'm looking for, I just would like ideas really to see if I feel like we can pull the song off. Thanks for any and all suggestions!

Take a look at the LOVE IS GOOD FOR ANYTHING THAT AILS YOU sequence from PENNIES FROM HEAVEN. Or listen to TAP YOUR TROUBLES AWAY from MACK AND MABEL. Or I WANT TO BE HAPPY from NO, NO, NANETTE.
