BEACHES Previews

Apr 1, 2026 — 11:28:11 PM

I agree with this sentiment, too. I didn’t hate it but didn’t love it. There is so much potential here with the talent on the stage. It’s “beaches” and there is no real sand. And no real water. Lost opportunities there. I thought the overture and entr’acte were some of the best parts. I thought Act 1 was better. WBMW at the end was sadly the most disappointing. Surely they could have come up with a better arrangement or raise the key! Hopefully they make some changes. The cast is really reall...

At the performance tonight and there has been a strange technical stop in Scene 5 Coalhouse number. It’s been more than 15min now and we have no idea what’s going on. Hope everyone and everything is alright! So far it’s fantastic!

Question about times between shows

May 26, 2025 — 1:43:27 PM

Ok, so the 3 other shows on the list are Floyd Collins, Gypsy, and Boop. Would you do Sat matinee Floyd Collins, Gypsy Sat night, and Boop Sun matinee?

Question about times between shows

May 26, 2025 — 1:32:38 PM

Hi everyone,I’m trying to make two shows this coming Sunday…I have a ticket to Sexual Misconduct at Minetta Lane at 7pm.Will I still be able to make it if I attend Gypsy at 3pm? Or should I do Gypsy on Saturday instead and Boop on Sunday? Or does it matter? Taking the subway the best option? Thanks for your help!

Maybe Happy Ending Seating Help

I think M1 would be better for this show. B2 would be okay, but the angle would be a little more restrictive especially for certain scenes. Hope you enjoy!

TAMMY FAYE Previews

Nov 12, 2024 — 11:00:42 PM

Saw this tonight and I sorta liked it! I must admit I knew the story, so perhaps I had a one up on those who didn’t. No one left at intermission and it was pretty full. I actually thought the music was good, and far more memorable than others have. All of the leads were in fine voice and gave strong performances, especially Katie. Shout out also to the actor who plays Billy Graham. Wish I could have heard more of him! Where I think it lacked for me is in two areas- the choreography and the su...

Intermission now. Tom is back on tonight! Some coughs from poor fellow, but he still sounds great. Sydney on as Betty. Good audience response so far.

DEATH BECOMES HER Previews

Nov 9, 2024 — 8:44:14 AM

Went last night and enjoyed it. The first act was really funny - the second one was slow at times. Stunts were over the top but well done in my opinion. The special effects were good but not great. To me the costumes are what really stood out. Hilty and Simard are both incredible and worth seeing the show for. Overall, it’s good, but not great. That being said I would see it again. The wedding sponsor was Olive Garden, “When you’re here you’re family!”

Possible to see Maybe Happy Ending and Oh Mary on Sunday? And Tammy Faye

Nov 2, 2024 — 11:16:23 AM

Hi all,Would I be able to see MHE at 3 and then have enough time to get to Oh Mary at 5?And, even tho I have tickets, should I really avoid Tammy Faye and pick Death Becomes Her or anything else on TKTS instead? My friend is joining me for this one only while I’m in town and would hate for that to be only show if it’s really that bad…

Thanks - my problem is I like it all! I would pick a musical over a play generally. I usually visit once a year, but I haven’t been since last May.I appreciate your opinions!

Imelda Staunton Hello, Dolly starts tonight!

Jul 6, 2024 — 9:06:22 PM

I agree with so much that’s been said. Jenna appeared too old for the role. Her vocals were just OK but acting good. Everything and every character seemed more subdued, more reserved. There was more dialogue and talk-singing. I actually thought at times Staunton was trying to imitate Streisand! Her vocals were not bad and improved in the second act, so I’m thinking they will get even better as she settles in. All that said, I really enjoyed it and agree it’s worth seeing. The overall company ...
