Will Tuck last through the summer ? May 5 2016, 10:25:13 AM
PJPan said: "I definitely anticipate a pre-Tonys closing. Friends who work on it aren't optimistic due to lagging ticket sales and a only one nomination (not one that'll bring people into the seats).
"See the people I know that are working on said everyone is much more positive about working hard to continue to spread the message of the show. I bet it lasts through summer and maybe even till Christmas.

I highly doubt it's going to close. It has too many big names attached to end so abruptly.

I'm so sad about Tuck and AP. I would have loved maybe another design award for Tuck since the visuals are stunning and maybe something for Terrance or Carolee? But I have to say there was a lot of stuff to see this season.
Wish Sarah Lewis had a chance but damn look who was nominated.
Well, got a lot of shows to go see now!!!

Thank god someone finally recognized Gregg Barnes for his incredible work on Tuck. So sad it did not recieve anything else since I thought it was an amazing show, but those costume were a big standout to me this season.
The nominations seem very fair and I think we are so fortunate to have a season filled with so much excitement and amazement!!!

Not sure about Best Musical, but it should totally be considered for the acting categories with Sarah Lewis being a stand out, and the visuals are actually the best in the business this season.

The critics for the most part praised it, but it is not endearing itself to the public with the mostly negative audience reaction. No two Broadway fans are like, what one loves, the other despises, so on this show and many more to come we are never going to come to a unanimous agreement. But I have to say given the overwhelming poor feedback I am reading from this thread

I thought Tuck was amazing. The story is believable and ther peefomances given by Sarah, Carolee, Terrance, as well as the rest of the cast, are very impressive. I'm not sure why people have decided to get so negative about a piece of theatre that does an awesome job telling a story that deals with a very real life lesson. To me, I compare it to works like The Secret Garden, Big River, etc. which really allow you to compare the events in the story to events in your own

Here is the thing re design categories. If you are going to put Walt on the list for Tuck, without a doubt you HAVE to include Gregg Barnes for costume design. Both of them together effortlessly create a world that is magical and truly looks like a storybook. Honestly I think it is one of the most expensive looking shows on Broadway because it demonstrates great technical skill, while remaining simple and concise. Personally I think it is how the design assists in the storytelling that makes
