Riedel wrote today it could be gone by the end of the week.

I have been hearing about this show for what seems like years. It gets here and looks to be a quick foldo
Not surprising if it does fold its tents soon.

I have a ticket for the first week in June. Guess I might need to consider possible replacement shows. Oh well.

Considering making alternate plans is a very fortuitous move considering the circumstances.

I do not forsee Tuck Everlasting lasting much longer. With the growing list of shows waiting to move into a Broadway theater, and the lack of tony nominations, and tickets sales, they will be gone, packed up and moved out before the end of the month. There is little to no chance that the show will still be open when the cast album is digitally released next month

Riedel also said that Avenue Q would be gone by winter... of 2003, so he's not always exactly right.

I think TUCK will try and stick it out a few more weeks & see what happens. But the shows seems like it'll be closed by the Tony Awards.

I'm not so sure, it's been getting great reviews.

I was thinking they may try to last to that first weekend of January but with the lack of Tony love who knows...

tuck has no mojo. how long it will run depends on how insane the producers are. nowadays that means it could be a while.
but no show is looking for a theatre in such a way that a quick close is driven by that factor.

The lead producer, Beth Williams, has a long but not-so-great track record, with such mega-flops to her credit as Doctor Zhivago, Big Fish, Hands On a Hardbody, The Anarchist, Chaplin, Leap of Faith, Superstar (2012), Lysistrata Jones, On A Clear Day (2011), Bonnie and Clyde, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, and many more.
In her favor, she has also been associated with some hits, including On Your Feet, Pippin (2013), How To Succeed (2011), and Memphis.

My guess: no. I give it a month. Closed by Tony day.

I definitely anticipate a pre-Tonys closing. Friends who work on it aren't optimistic due to lagging ticket sales and a only one nomination (not one that'll bring people into the seats).

It certainly doesn't look good for it. If the producers are willing to lose money a bit, I could envision them holding on until the Tonys to see if a performance on the show would boost sales from families watching. But in all likelihood, it will be gone by the end of the month, or soon thereafter.

I wouldn't exactly call Priscilla a mega-flop since it did have a reasonable run, but the rest of those...yikes.
I guess I need to make this more of a priority to see since I love pretty much everyone involved and I'd like to see it.

In that list are some quality shows that, for one reason or another, did not click with the public.

Did tuck perform on the today show today. I can't find a video. Can anyone link it?

This show doesn't have good word-of-mouth. At least not in the rehearsal rooms I've been in. Psycho has been getting raves from those around me but everyone I know who has seen Tuck is saying it's just ok.

Apparently, the performance was rescheduled for 5/13 due to inclement weather, IE rain. I would be surprised if the show was still open.

She is, so far as I know, a producer for hire/executive producer type. She ran Broadway Across America until couple years ago and now seems to be doing the leg work for the creamer people who seem to have the absolute worst eye for what's good in history.
