Hi everyone,
I need some suggestions.
My college hosts a student run summer theatre season every year, and last year due to a loss of funding, we were told that we needed to make a certain amount of money off of our ticket sales to keep the program going.
We did this by doing a big musical (Joseph) and using a ton of area children. Their parents bought tickets to all of the performances, and many of them invested in tickets for the rest of the season because they enjoyed the show.
We are doing The Music Man and Wizard of Oz with thirty kids this summer, but we would like to have a list of potential shows to choose from in the future.
Any ideas? Even musicals that don't have children in the script, but could potentially feature children in the chorus would be helpful.
We have thought about Oliver, Annie and Carousel, but we are drawing a blank after that.
