#0A Chorus Line- Any Discounts ?
Posted: 8/23/06 at 10:05amI am surprised CL has not offered some kind of discounts, since previews are coming up in a few weeks. Any info out there?

Posted: 8/23/06 at 10:26amYeah, tickets are definitely going at a brisk pace. Yesterday I tried to get three tickets for the first week of previews, but the only tickets they had together were in the rear mezzanine, and to the extreme side. I decided to get three singles instead, and even then the best they had was only rear orchestra.

Pish. I'll believe "tickets are selling well" when all those $250 "premium" seats in the good sections of the orchestra are sold.
I believe they've made a big mistake with this ticket selling strategy. As I've said before and will say again, they can "kiss my ass goodbye."

Posted: 8/23/06 at 10:46amThe show is selling very well. There's a lot of advertising here in the tri-state area(NY-NJ-CON). Supposedly the first month the show is playing(from Sept. 18 - Oct. 22) is almost completely sold-out. Orchestra seats are hard to find and telecharge mostly has only rear mezz. seats for those dates. I have a felling that once the (rave) reviews come out, tickets will be very hard to find for at least a year.

Orchestra seats are "hard to find" because they have created a fake scarcity model by making them $250 each. Have you tried searching for those? It's astounding how many are available!

A friend of mine visited the Box Office the other day and was told that SRO will not be available for "A Chorus Line" due to the fact that actors will be using that space.
I find it odd that a show that's supposed to honor the struggling gypsies of Broadway is making it very hard for those who don't have $111 to see it.
