This cant be verified but i did speak with one of the concession people at the theatre last evening and was told that lennon cast recroding is due out in december

I wouldn't be surprised if this it true...Yoko sure has not only the money, but I'm sure the power to make it happen...She did get NEW YORK ROCK recorded...I'm no of those people who firmly wishes everything would get recorded (I know, wishful thinking), but it would still be nice.

Lennon IS getting recorded, if it hasn't already (I think it was recorded last Monday) -- for sure, 100%... there will be an OBC recording. Julia told me so herself.

^^ I was wondering that too -- the dialogue is pretty important to a handful of the songs... I'm curious if they'll end up doing a Caroline, or Change type thing (of course, not with the ENTIRE libretto, but... a large part of the book and dialogue) -- it could be done really well.

I think it would be done best if they did it like BKLYN - that live rock sound is important.
Then if they include most of, but not all of, the dialogue.
But it was hard to understand what they were saying, so...But the clapping/laughing is nice too.

i agree....do it like BKLYN or Movin Out....live in performance, so its like a concert. record it twice, so you can combine them for the best sound.

yeah, I thought of Brooklyn too -- the audience involvement and energy is important for Lennon, so it could make a great recording. I just hope they include SOME dialogue.

if they do, let it be during the songs, or as intros to the songs. dialogue alone as tracks screws up the rhythm of the disc, for example, Assassins. the only acceptable dialogue on that cd was the lee harvey oswald scene. everything else, in its abbreviated glory, destroyed the pacing.

If they do put the extra dialogue, or any intro dialogue, it should be as its own track...although the music sometimes began under the dialogue.

if this show is geting a cast cd then all shows like good vibrations should have a cd made i know that the show is colesd but it still needs a cast cd made.

I am actually excited and this... Cast CDs are awesome... only really bad original shows are unworthy of cast CDs *snickers*

According to a few cast members (who I spoke to at the stage door last night) there will be a recording made within the next couple of weeks. At chatterbox yesterday, Marcy mentioned that there is talk about it possibly being a live recording, rather than studio.

i coulndt disagree more..it needs the studio with the controlled envrionment to get everything..brooklyn cd is a mess...and the quality is d- at best
