Dominique Roy in Rent last night!

Boy~ did she bring the house down. Starting with her acting, her tears, to her awesome voice during "Out Tonight"! I've only heard of her, but never heard her perform. Krystal Washington will always be my favorite but Dominique is one of my favorite Mimis! Yay!

Now only if Matt Caplan will stop fooling around and only if the cast stop cracking up at inopportune times during the show (Isn't Joanne supposed to be conflicted and upset during Tango: Maureen? Not laughing??) The cast seemed a little more invigorated than when I saw it a few months ago, although it was almost the same cast. Tne new Maureen (Ava) rocked the house as well. Thank goodness for the lotto seats (there were more seats than people that showed up for the lotto) and man, I was so impressed with Destan Owens as well, he doesn't even need his microphone during the reprise of "I'll Cover You". Frenchie of course, was her usual fabulous self. All in all, last night was a great show.

Yeah, I saw Dominique Roy on tour in Boston a few years ago and she was really great! I know she's been kicking around understudying, etc w/ the Broadway company for a while now, so it's nice to hear she went on to good reviews.

Hey, I was in lotto last night too!! It was a great show, I was so happy to finally win lotto =) The house was like half-empty, but the cast is insanely energetic. I was in the infamous "ass seat" (BB 5) and I must say Ava has one NICE Bootay!

I must say; it was nice to see the cast energetic on a Tuesday night. My friend, a first-timer, had a blast.

i saw her many years ago, she seemed exhausted during out tonight, but i was supset marci was out so i was kinda hating her.

i think i saw her last april but i dont really remember who was Mimi and I didnt keep the playbill, I remember I got Mimi's understudy so it wasnt Karmine.
