Jerry Lewis Telethon - Bway performances?

It's on WGN right now in my area. Harvey Fierstein just did "If I Were A Rich Man" from FIDDLER. I know "For Good" from WICKED is scheduled. Anything else?
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Are the performances live from Chicago, or on location in NY?

re: Jerry Lewis Telethon - Bway performances?

you think it would be on this late or not until tomorrow? is it possible it was on during the 10 o'clock hour when the news was shown in new york? i wouldn't think the good entertainment would be on in the middle of the night, but then again, i guess others might not find it to be as big a deal.

i was watching for a bit...watched from maybe 10ish to 11...they SAID chitty was coming up, and then the news came on! stupid news. anyway, i was just flipping channels again and it was on...but no broadway of any kind, just testimonies and the reality star bowling thing (what??)...so who knows what's going on there. (ps, i'm in CT...so i don't know what that means. just thought i'd put it out there. it's late. and way past my bedtime. :P)

if they said it was coming up before then it's probably likely that we missed it because of the news. re: Jerry Lewis Telethon - Bway performances?

if someone from ny said before that it was coming up then i'm thinking we missed it because of the news. maybe someone from another state could somehow put it on the internet.

re: Jerry Lewis Telethon - Bway performances?

Weird. The commerical here just said that Colm Wilkinson is coming up.

Has anybody seen the Chitty performance? I don't know whether to go to sleep or not.

re: Jerry Lewis Telethon - Bway performances?

At the same time you saw Colm and Rosie I was seeing Norm Crosby. Maureen McGovern is on now.
Are different places seeing different acts? I've been sitting here quite a while and no Colm and Rosie, unless there were on and I blinked and missed it while web surfing.

Would NY be the only one breaking for news while the show went on, or would it be a scheduled break for everyone to have local news? How could local stuff block the national one?

That would really blow if Chitty was missed because of a break.
Gotta go to sleep.

I wish that Maureen would sing her big song for Little Women, but I'm SURE she's tired of that song. SHe needs a break from it.

re: Jerry Lewis Telethon - Bway performances?

They must be doing different acts. I haven't seen Colm or Rosie and I've had it on since it started. Maureen just sang here. Norm was on earlier here.
